So you didn't give up under Levein/Kelly/Megson/Allen/Holloway but you would if we appointed someone that's been relatively successful recently?

*I'm not saying I'd be excited with Southgate btw, it just seems a bit of an over dramatic reaction.

I've stuck with City for a long, long time but there is something about Southgate that really irritates me !!    I really don't agree when you say he's been relatively successful ...  He managed a group of players that were extremely talented but never won anything with them. He beat teams that he should have beaten but that's it.

He is possibly even more negative than Cooper !!!

He'd definitely drop Vardy.

I am not defending him, his tactics, it’s horrible to see, and I would welcome a change, but having said it, I do not feel it requires 20 new threads to repeat that fact, and if there is a hangover from the relegation then it’s time to get over it, as there is no rolling that back.

The issue is Steve Cooper’s premier league win record is not great

Premier League Records

Matches

60

Wins

12

Draws

19

Losses

29

Goals For

61

Goals Against

106

With 33 PL games left, based on Cooper's record in the Prem to date (a sufficiently large sample size) over the next 30 games we can expect to win 6 and draw 10 that's 28 points plus the 3 we've accumulated over the last 5 making a total of 31. Then add 2 from the other 3 games and with Cooper we can expect 33 points. To have a chance of avoiding relegation I'd roll the dice asap!

COOPER OUT !!

Corberan or Potter in !

I still believe they only appointed him because he was the only candidate who would come whilst we were under threat of massive points deduction because of dodgy PSR now we’ve had that quashed get rid of him get Corberan or Potter in !!

Why do our fans act like we're Crawley Town? We're a club with a decent reputation in the most reputable league in the world no matter how much you personally dispute those things. Talented managers and players will come here. We just don't look hard enough.

Exactly this.

Wolves have had Lopetegui, Bournemouth have Iraola. There is absolutely no reason for a club of our stature and with our resources to accept a Championship level manager.

The unemployed managers out there right now make my shit itch as I could reel off five better options than Cooper just off the top of my head who would most likely snap Top's hand off for a gig in the Premier League.

I'm on the fence over Cooper at the moment and I think this is a bit 'knee jerk' re a 'near miss' league cup game against league two opponents that always rings the changes. Also with his recent Forest past/association not helping matters. The thing is if we were bottom, pointless and playing like Sheffield United were last season, then it would probably be more cut and dried already but we've been pretty competitive in the Prem. games so far (reflected in our narrow goal difference and being sat in 15th), even if they haven't yielded a positive result yet a month plus into the league campaign. The Palace away game was close for e.g., even if we were largely second best throughout and were unluicky with that offside decision. Everton was perhaps more of a truer reflection of where we're at, at present in so far as those being the games we have to win (yet failed to) if we're to avoid finishing in the basement three come next May and not going for the win. I think if we're where we are now at Christmas then they'll stick with him but unless we lose the next seven in a row (or don't win any of them), then I don't think they'll be sacking Cooper anytime soon.
