You can't let that happen whatever the result. He's only 7, get him the merchandise, tell him all about 2016, the '21 Cup Final. Mind games. It's good parenting 1
kiddo Posted 29 September 2024 Posted 29 September 2024 I just want to see us have a go from the start, not once we’ve gone behind. Team selections are all well and good, but if we’re cautious again and let them take the initiative, we ain’t winning no matter what the team is. Just give us a chance, Cooper. You might be surprised. 1
adejo92 Posted 29 September 2024 Posted 29 September 2024 Southampton will get a draw out of them tomorrow & they will beat us at the weekend. We're fodder.

The Horse's Mouth Posted 30 September 2024 Posted 30 September 2024 They’re pretty abject but based on eeritaj this is a 1-1 or a 2-2
Raj Posted 30 September 2024 Posted 30 September 2024 Need a win else the bad momentum will keep the pressure on. A realistic gauge of how our season will pan out.
beepee1984 Posted 30 September 2024 Posted 30 September 2024 I still have nightmares over that performance against Bournemouth This season I have been reliving it every week
Lako42 Posted 30 September 2024 Posted 30 September 2024 Cooper will be absolutely desperate to not let them win. Sharing 2 points is the dream

I’m expecting him to drop Skipp or Buonanotte to shoehorn Ndidi and Ayew up top. JJ & VK will be constantly out of position leaving space for crosses to come in. If he plays an attacking team from the start with Winks or Skipp getting ball forward quickly for Mav/Fac/Fatawu then we can get something from this. Crap VK played well against Saka Saturday. JJ was at fault for two goals. Yes, he scored two great goals, but 3rd goal he lost Trossard at the back post, 4th he passed it back albeit he was lunging in in order to clear it. 1

I'd drop Winks before Wilf. Winks has been off his game for a long while now, his first 3-4 months in a blue shirt was amazing, nobody could get near him, his standards in the final 15-20 games of last season dropped massively and the step up in class this season has caught him out multiple times. In those first few months of signing for us I was so surprised that no prem teams really wanted him, at this point I can see quite a few flaws in his game and he switches off easily, Skipp looks the superior player this season! 1
foxfanazer Posted 30 September 2024 Posted 30 September 2024 Just take the handbrake off and let them play. Surely he must realise that this current approach isn't the way forward 1

Haywood_6 Posted 30 September 2024 Posted 30 September 2024 People often target this game as one we should win, never really works out like that. Bournemouth seem to be a bit of a bogey time for us. I do really rate some of their players though - Zabarnyi and Senesi is definitely a partnership I'd pick over Okoli and Faes any day. That said, we need to want this more than they do. We need a 90 minute performance - not just 45. It’s the same story every week with sluggish first halves. No matter who starts, we need a complete performance. We've not seen one under Cooper yet
CrazyKopCorner Posted 30 September 2024 Posted 30 September 2024 I'm an absolute doom monger at the moment in that people will expect us a) to put in a much better performance and b) win this one I think they are going to be very disappointed I'm expecting this one to be a real reality check for all of our fans as the total clueless nature of our manager fully dawns on some.

ronnup Posted 30 September 2024 Posted 30 September 2024 442 Vardy and Edouard Skipp and Wilf with Stephi and Fats wide. Do it you pussy 3 1
MGLCFC Posted 30 September 2024 Posted 30 September 2024 I can see a scrappy 2 -1 win, Cooper stays in post, then the next few games we manage a couple of fortunate draws. I almost hope we lose about 3 - 0, so we get rid of this clown. 1
Pliskin Posted 30 September 2024 Posted 30 September 2024 We won’t win, not whilst Cooper is in charge.
StanSP Posted 30 September 2024 Posted 30 September 2024 Go 1 down early. Fight back. Equalise. Draw. 1
Happy Fox Posted 30 September 2024 Posted 30 September 2024 I think being in the bottom 3 tonight will wake up the fanbase, or perhaps if Bournemouth go 5 points clear of us by being Southampton! We won't beat Bournemouth at best it will be a draw.
izzymuzzet Posted 30 September 2024 Posted 30 September 2024 Winks' form is a problem. Ndidi is no good as a sitting DM anymore so we don't have anyone else to sit alongside Skipp at the base of the midfield. Ricardo can do it as the inverted full back but seems pretty clear Cooper won't do that. For that reason I think he probably sticks with Winks for now.
