Bournemouth manager will easily outmanoeuvre Cooper This gets said every week, and although i despise Cooper, we seem to somehow compete. I don't think we lose heavily. This likely ends up a draw or a narrow loss. I just don't see where we get a win from. 6

It feels like the players are getting something in spite of Coopers poor line ups and tactics. Mads definitely saved him an embarrassment, hopefully he realised that but I doubt it. Every game now feels like a waste of points and team development. He keeps rotating the mistakes rather than the wholesale change which everyone else can somehow see. I would have loved Radio Leicester to ask him a difficult question and then follow up his standard nonsense response. “What was the tactical reasoning for playing an aging Ayew against an even older makeshift LB in Young, when you have Fatawu on the bench, and not overloaded that area which would then create space for Mav and Fac?” Edited 1 October 2024 by Richmondfox 1

Nalis Posted 1 October 2024 Posted 1 October 2024 They will probably beat us with Clown Cooper in charge but has ever been a more irrelevant team in the premier league than Bournemouth? This must be their 7th or 8th season in the premier league and my memories of them are limited to Their matches with us The last match they happened to play They have a small ground Eddie Howe was their manager Apart from that, nowt.

How about Palace? Isn't it something like 10 years in a row finishing on 40-49 points?

Their ground looks like it was made out of Lego. Edited 1 October 2024 by Wymsey 2

Bournemouth are more settled and looked good last night, they'll be gutted if they don't rip us up. Some times you need to tinker to get your best 11 - This was my thought in terms of Arsenal away & at home, Man City home and away etc
Levi Port Posted 1 October 2024 Posted 1 October 2024 (edited) Bournemouth are a good side, lots of pace and score goals. Much better side than us. We need a win badly and I recon Cooper will go slightly less anti football and they’ll do us 3-1. I have no hope in Cooper Ball, it’s neither here nor there, no identity, slow and static. The only patterns of play we’ve put together have been left overs from the Enzo play book. We start slow, concede too many and don’t make chances. We’ve massively over performed our XG and I don’t see how we’ll keep that up with his tactics. I’m genuinely normally so optimistic, this is the first season I’ve not had hope and here we are. Sunbury Fox Posted 1 October 2024 Posted 1 October 2024 For the love of God, Cooper, get Fats, Mav and Facundo on the pitch at the same time and from the start of the game. 1

Totally agree. But I'd take the decision to drop Vards to accommodate that. The Skipp / Winks / Wilf axis is,.imo, our strongest asset 1

He needs to step out of defence more when we do have the Ball and create scoring opportunities. Skipp and Wilf can cover for him.

I've watched winks closely twice in pockets of games, first game v spurs in particular. He was overworked. There was another game too, tho forget which. Vards bless him means we are effectively playing with ten men for 98% of the game. The workload is too much on Winks having to captain/organise/conduct the team (as he is captain in all but armband, particularly now that Vesty isn't there to dictate things with him)

The other problem is when we sit deep the opposition target him. Which is when we get in a muddle and concede. Cooper hasn't got a clue how to get the best from the squad we have. He could do with the help from an experienced DOF which we don't have either. 1
