I like a cheese roll as much as the next man, but Christ you would take all day to chew that.

Was this the final step to Straylian citizenship?

'Bob's cobs' at the Richard the third pub in the years leading up to & including the title winning season, crusty cob with a good slice of onion & an even thicker slice of cheese, £1 a pop.

Made you drink a bit more!

I was gonna say the same. His wife Bea would make them and the onion was the strongest I've ever tasted lol

Worked for them for a little while (pre you know what)

Spent a few Sundays in there, was always decent.

The cob part of the argument reminds me of an away day at reading in the fa cup about 20 years ago. My cousin went in Harry Ramsdens near the ground and asked for a chip cob. They couldn’t understand wtf he was on about so they asked again and he said a chip cob please and some posh cockney voice shouted up from the back of the queue saying I think he means a chip roll and the bloke behind the counter say why didn’t you say that then 😂

It's the same argument I have with my girlfriend. If I send her to a cafe for a sausage roll how can she differentiate from a traditional sausage roll or a sausage cob? Whichever she came back with I'd say I wanted the other

Lived in Southend for 4 years. If you want a sausage cob it's "sausage in a roll" 🤮

I think Mr the Hat knew exactly what he was doing there.

It’s shameful really but you have to admire the chutzpah.

I find the incredulity about the wrong bap/roll/bread cake etc etc stuff so weird. It’s pretty obvious what people mean
