FoxesWalk Posted 1 February Posted 1 February I’d quite like 9 new outfield players to play along side Mads and El Khannouss, a new manager, a new director of football, and new owners. 4

Number 6 Posted 1 February Posted 1 February I don't understand how this lack of activity can be an PSR thing unless I'm missing something obvious. I know there's a rule change coming but that seemed to make PSR less onerous. We've got a -£90m year dropping off the 3-year period and just turned a profit on Cannon which would roughly cancel out the Okoli transfer this year. Skipp was £25m so about a £5m hit this year, Ayew about £1.5m. Should be looking to post something between -£30m and -£40m so there should be plenty of headroom? Just screams of inefficient identifying and completing purchases of targets. 1
Bilo Posted 1 February Posted 1 February An entire back four, a winger and a striker. I'm being serious. We'll get none. Down. 1
StonyFox Posted 1 February Posted 1 February The manager to walk out due to lack of support and lies from the board, and the fans to protest. 1

Soumare wages added kristiansen wages added cooper sacking £70m on players net wages for those players we are heading towards a £51m 3 year limit next season. People moan at the club for being reckless before, then when it shuts shop because relegation is inevitable also complain. The spending should’ve been done in the summer, a late splurge will probably just cause more pain next season now
kingfox Posted 1 February Posted 1 February Been saying for weeks a CB, RW/LW & ST. But the more I see of this midfield, CM is an issue too We have no competent alternative to Wilf. 4

The spending should’ve been done in the summer, a late splurge will probably just cause more pain next season now I'm not advocating for reckless spending it just feels like there should be room to manoeuvre unless the wage structure is still somehow mental. January always a terrible time for doing business and we've screwed ourselves with a terrible summer window, but if feels like the finances should be more in order now.
Glasgow fox Posted 1 February Posted 1 February I would not sign anyone. We are certs for relegation so should be planning for next season. I would sell mads (only because he is our biggest asset) and then shift some deadwood and build again. Also think we need a manager who knows the championship and is ambitious. Not slagging RVN as feel he has been sold a picture that never existed its just he has no idea what will be needed in the championship. If it wasn't for loss of wages I think he would have walked by now.
Popular Post Sly Posted 1 February Popular Post Posted 1 February We need: 1 x Left back 1 x Right back 2 x Centre back 2 x Centre midfielders 1 x Right wing 1 x Left wing 1 x Forward 1 x Head Coach 8 x New back room members 1 x Head of Recruitment 1 x Director of Football 1 x CEO 1 x Chairman And a partridge in a pear tree. 4 2

I think it’s a case of forward thinking rather than what we are allowed at this present moment
Lcfcwigstonblue Posted 1 February Posted 1 February The fact the window closes on Monday and we have no clear links with any player is alarming but not surprising at the same time.
Clogger_ Posted 1 February Posted 1 February Save the "PSR headroom" (yuk). Give whatever we can to the next manager for next summer's rebuild.
BigGibbo Posted 2 February Posted 2 February February 2nd and we still don't have a single Premier League quality defensive player in the squad. 3
Mickyblueeyes Posted 2 February Posted 2 February One **** is in Bangkok. The other having a lazy Sunday after travelling back from Liverpool. This was a massive window. They’ve had multiple in recent years and have ****ed it again. 1

Probably tells you we don't have that much head room as you think. We will not recover until we have both, the 21/22 of the 22/23 loses drop off. Edited 2 February by coolhandfox

Suspect we've still dished out outrageous wages again, Percy alluded to this with a particular signing in the Championship at £70k a week at that level that's increased to £100k. Astonishing, learnt absolutely nothing. 1

Some of the other clubs doing business must be sailing as close to the wind as us. Maybe they've actually taken a decision to accept the risks of a points deduction or to try and recoup losses in the summer. We feel like we are drifting without a firm hand into oblivion.
