If we were to spend all of that this window it means, considering amortisation, you could probably spend 15-20ish million on players this window (variable based on agent fees, how deals are structured and contract lengths etc.) 1 1

moore_94 Posted 24 January Posted 24 January https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2025/01/24/leicester-turmoil-van-nistelrooy-fights-drift-relegation/ A winger on loan is the next target, and Leicester’s funds could be boosted slightly by the £10 million sale of striker Tom Cannon to Sheffield United on Thursday. 1

Hmm, get a winger in on a loan and then use what cash we have left for a defender? I'll be genuinely surprised if we don't want a CB.
les-tah Posted 24 January Author Posted 24 January (edited) I think we are doomed. All the silence and media interviews with RVN feels like its genuinely pointing to no new signings. Roll on with the protests and the toxic atmosphere top rudkin and co have caused. Edited 24 January by les-tah

A centre back has to be a priority, if we ended the window with one more signing and that was a good/respectable defender, I’d have some hope. If we ended it with a winger only, I’d have no hope. A good defender which we’ve been lacking for some time is a massive boost 1

Edingleyfox Posted 24 January Posted 24 January In all honesty Leicester will do very well to find a centre back that is going to slot in quickly and vastly improve the side. We already have so much cover in that area snd another addition has to be a significant upgrade. I don’t know anything about the new RB either I’d rather look for either a winger or striker with different attributes. Leicester are creating so few chances and setting up negatively . I’m also concerned if Facundo is out of favour or losing confidence because he looked great initially
MPH Posted 24 January Posted 24 January I forgot to mention… Patrick Ageymang, who I mentioned earlier is 6ft 4.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 24 January Posted 24 January Appears they are after a centre back on a permanent deal and a winger on loan. I would imagine they are dependent on palace calling Edouard back for us to get a striker in on loan. 1
LVFox Posted 24 January Posted 24 January Centre back and Winger needed with Pavlovic and Edwards most probably available. We will do nothing.
HankMarvin Posted 24 January Posted 24 January Lecce enquire about Leicester youngster Omobolaji. The Serie A club would offer the 17-year-old winger a first team pathway.
The_77 Posted 24 January Posted 24 January Sergio Ramos on a free. Let’s give this squad a kick up the arse. 3
lcfc sheff Posted 24 January Posted 24 January Are we finally going to have some transfer deadline madness?

JimJams Posted 24 January Posted 24 January Whilst watching Cannons currently crap debut for Sheffield Utd, I thought I'd pop on their forum to have a gander at their thoughts. They've got a thread gagging for Hamza and Dunne (cb) and the sentiment is that they're well short in midfield and desperate for a Souttar replacement. SURELY we have to get Chouder out and try our damnedest to get Coady there!! For the love of CHRIST! THIS is what we need in January!
