Really don't understand why these supporters of the Nottingham clubs are posting on our forum

Nah can’t be them, they only care about derby 🤦‍♂️🙄

Here we go, a tree on our board telling us they aren't bothered about us. They ALL like to tell us they aren't bothered about us. They'll bore you to death telling you they aren't bothered about us.

'You're not our rivals'

Damn right. Come back when you've managed to achieve something more recently than when football was played in black and white.

Nothing before Clough, nothing since Clough.

It always been about self preservation, I have a few forest mates, they spend the entire time saying they don't care in case they lose, but my god when they win....amazing how much they care when that happens.

What will Coopers approach be then? Nuno likes to play on the counter, and so does this Forest team. Will our full backs be more disciplined? Will he play Ricardo? Will we play a midfield 3 of destroyers (Skipp annd Ndidi) and controllers (Winks), and Facundo out wide…? Or maybe it’s a game for Abdul from the start given his defensive qualities…

Case in point, Palace just brought off former sheepshagger Will Hughes to a chorus of boos. On comes Schlupp obviously a former Leicester player and there's no reaction at all.

I would love to see us get something on Friday but not because it's Leicester, but because it's another vital point(s) in the quest for Premier League survival which for me is still the aim.

Imagine if everyone booed every player that used to play for one of their rivals!

We only boo our own ex players around here.

He’ll start Fatawu on the right but he’ll drop Mavididi on the left, replacing him with BDCR as he loves a lob sided set up and he’ll be hoping not many will remember the VK/Reid left hand side ‘partnershiT’ at Fulham.

Most important game of the season. Our biggest local rival and a chance for Cooper to stick it to the team that sacked him.

He can be defensively solid without ceding the game to the opposition at home. If he doesn't start on the front foot after the turnaround on Saturday he will be sending out a negative signal. So he has to go with the below. Justin has been skipped past one too many times and so it's time for Ricardo. Winks has had his rap on the knuckles now and so i think it's time for him to come back in alongside Ndidi. The front four picks itself, with Ayew, BDR, Billy Canoe available to mix things up if needed and Skipp and Justin if we need to go more defensive.

Hermansen

Ricardo Faes Okoli Kristiansen

Ndidi Winks

Fatawu Buonanotte Mavididi

Vardy

I'd love to see this, with Skipp, Justin, El Khanous and Ayew waiting to come on at 60

If someone like KDH comes on Forest boo him, without a doubt. Hughes is a  fairly distinctive looking player, Schlupp not so much.

They're a decent side but there's no way we should fear them. Just hope we're fully up for it

Fully up for it defines them, it's a brilliant quality. We've had brilliant players that aren't and it's a disaster. Hope Coops can get us properly motivated come Fri eve.

I was in Nottingham for 2 1/2 months at the end of the 2022-2023 season last year - If it makes you feel better, I didn't think about you guys once (I mean, I was in a coma, but I still realized we were going down.)

I think the rivalry depends on where you are.  Growing up in North Leicester and later time in Loughborough I felt the forest / Leicester rivalry.

I live in rugby now and this is well and truly Cov City country.  There is genuine hatred for us here from the Cov City lot.  My daughter is one of only 2 or 3  Leicester fans at school and her phone was off the scale pinging with messages from Cov City "friends" at half time on Saturday.  Strangely, an hour later it was silent 😂😂

For me though its always the forest rivalry.  I was bought up on it and worked with them.  Tell us about 1980 again mate, you don't tell that story often enough 😂

I agree with you all that this ‘we’re not rivals’ is silly.  We have several songs about hating  both Leicester and Derby.  We sing ‘Leicester reject’ at players like Maguire, Madison and Barnes etc.

‘Hates’ a bit strong for me as I’m middle aged and don’t live in the area anymore.

Don’t agree with this idea our fans our generally arrogant.  Most of us are negative, fatalistic and constantly waiting for the next disaster.

I think the Leicester rivalry has lost its oomph a bit since the 90s as we haven’t played you as much as we have Derby.  I hope we can both stay in the division for a few years, with us ahead of you 😀.  That’ll liven things up again.

There’s a couple of Leicester fans who post on LTLF - it’s good to hear the Leicester take on things.

Forest fans are generally the most doomer fans that I know. A few got excited during the Cooper championship run and way back in the Fawaz fridges banter era when they first got money but only in the same way we thought we’d be class under Mandaric when we first got money.

For some reason “lob sided” has broken me.
