Popular Post StanSP Posted 11 November 2024 Popular Post Posted 11 November 2024 That's a shame. Think I'm in the minority based on comments I see on here but I think he's a perfect fit for the programme. 75
StanSP Posted 11 November 2024 Posted 11 November 2024 Also think BBC will be loving it based on what he's earning... Alex Scott probably licking her lips at the opportunity...
Thefox81 Posted 11 November 2024 Posted 11 November 2024 Nooooooooo its going to be Jermaine BBC Jenas taking over isnt it 2

Popular Post coolhandfox Posted 11 November 2024 Popular Post Posted 11 November 2024 At 63 I don't blame him, he has plenty in the bank, go and enjoy it. Nothing is more important than time. 6 1
BKLFox Posted 11 November 2024 Posted 11 November 2024 Would assume Shearer will give it up to concentrate on the podcast also, not sure about Meeks.
David Hankey Posted 11 November 2024 Posted 11 November 2024 Well, all "good" things come to an end sooner or later. I, for one, won't miss him. 3
Popular Post Silebyfox_89 Posted 11 November 2024 Popular Post Posted 11 November 2024 (edited) Gotta give it to Chappers haven't they? Edited 11 November 2024 by Silebyfox_89 18
winteriscoming Posted 11 November 2024 Posted 11 November 2024 Should go all out to get Jeff Stelling to replace him.

Popular Post Gamble92 Posted 11 November 2024 Popular Post Posted 11 November 2024 Quite sad how many of our fans now turn on him because of his political views. Let's face it he proved everyone wrong and then some with his presenting career. Quite easily the best football presenter there is and will very likely only be properly appreciated when he's gone. 58 5 1
Scotch Posted 11 November 2024 Posted 11 November 2024 (edited) It's going to be Alex Scott. Fills quotas (gay, woman of colour) whilst I also think she's good at what she does and has good knowledge of the game. Edited 11 November 2024 by Scotch 1
Pita Posted 11 November 2024 Posted 11 November 2024 Match of the day won’t be the same. Time to take it off air and come up with a new programme 1

Leicesterpool Posted 11 November 2024 Posted 11 November 2024 Been forced out, I think Gary has just had enough of the speculation. But huge chance for Sky Sports to get a decent presenter in, to present their main games. 2 1

Get Chappers in, he will be an upgrade on our Gary in a couple of years.

Alex Scott probably licking her lips at the opportunity... Alex Scott will kill it, really poor host. Gabby Logan far more experienced, Mark Chapman I would say more the suitable choice. Going to miss Gary's coverage at major tournaments. Edited 11 November 2024 by Leicesterpool 4 1

Got too big for his boots. Instead of doing the job he was highly paid to do he became too outspoken and controversial. Something you don't want from a presenter.
