OK, so I know a lot of people will see the title of this thread and sigh, but, genuinely - is it time?

We've seen the best of times as a club under the current ownership, which we can all appreciate, but the last few years have grown a general lethargy, seen the decline of club and club identity and coupled with the obvious growing disinterest from those at the top can we now rightly have a proper discussion about ownership - what we want going forward, how can things be rectified etc?

It's all well and good having Cooper-out threads but we all know the real problem runs deeper than him, it's time to be honest about it without the 'we owe Top and Vichai everything' mentality that's persisted well beyond its use-by date.

What do people currently expect from the club? What needs to change at board or ownership level? Is it genuinely time to sell up?

Discuss.

We don't need another thread. That's for certain.

there was a consortium backed by a few wealthy families (local) who were interested in the club in the summer - I don’t think it went any further than initial talks.

I don’t think Top wants to sell but I also don’t think he is very clued up on how to run it. He sat afar and watched his father grow and develop the club with the same people and it’s a case of try and try again.

Im very much in favour of new owners.

No, we just need a change in structure and for Rudkin to do one. If that was possible under the current ownership,

It isn't

Vichai was the figurehead of the club, and think we would be in a different position to what we are now if he was still alive.I personally don’t think that Tops heart is in the club tbh.His Dad was the football man,he’s a horse racing fan and I feel he’s just here now to try and fulfill his dads dream.I can’t see a lot changing going forward unless Top grows a pair!!!!

I thought it was the polar opposite. Top was the football man, Vichai had the business brains and the bankroll. By 'football man' he just liked it rather than knew anything about it!

Considering the clubs losses over recent years I doubt there'll be a massive queue to buy us.

My thoughts exactly.

Who else is going to feel a connection and have the finances to continue to effectively write off the debt accrued every 2 / 3 years?

Management changes with Rudkin, Whelen and Cooper fuching off are essential however - We need new fresh dynamic management with a 5 / 10 and 20 year strategic plan.

Think he just needs to start being ruthless to people around him, maybe hang around people who are ruthless or pass it over to another family member who is! Everyone one is taking advantage of his kindness including players

He has the perfect grounding e.g elite education, he was a director for 7 years watching his billionaire father run both KP and be the chair and owner of the club during the most successful period in its history.

In theory that’s all you could ever want before taking over. He’s either disinterested, incompetent or both. The just sack Rudkin brigade are just naive.

Only interest in the club appears to be using it as a way of showing oft to his Thai celeb mates

I love the way the thread title implies it's some sort of throw away decision the fans can make, like we have a choice lol

The problem with any sale is I suspect KP will value the club very highly, probably at least a few hundred million, wouldnt surprise me if more than half a billion.

I too would accept a change of football director roles, the problem is the only way I see Rudkin getting upgraded is a new owner.

I expect the queue to buy Leicester City football club is so long, Top must be fighting them off.

This is such a nonsense. No one wants us, we make a loss, unless we are a rich persons toy we have no viable existence beyond midtable Championship, thats the facts for team from a place in the midlands.

We're playing in the most competitive league in the world. We were promoted last season. What on earth do people expect or want Absolutely ridiculous expectations. The plan is survive this season and rebuild next year. We're bottom 5 quality at the minute. For a Midlands size club we're doing well.

Such fair weather fans.

It’s not a decision we have any part in. Either Top wants to continue or he doesn’t.

No chance he steps away given the family attachment to the club imo. If he can afford it, he won’t leave
