The main requirement of any new manager is positivity in the way we play. Hopefully that will make a difference & get the fans onside.

No more performances like the last 2 games where we have been so cowardly

Certainly that's one requirement.

Plenty of good managers abroad I'm sure but I'm not overly familiar with too many foreign managers for me to be able to comment on them but closer to home, Moyes would be a firefighter and keep us up but not sure he's a long term fix. For a potential long term plan I'd go with Carrick. Think he's a good coach and has Boro playing some good football and hasn't had much to spend with them.

Potter wouldn’t want to work under Rudkin?

A positive of Potter being appointed would mean Rudkin has been removed or replaced, you'd think.

Other than that....

The fact this has happened now and with alot of games coming up they must have someone lined up. I would guess it's also someone they know quite well/interviewed previously. Surely has to be Potter

Moyes is probably the safe pair of hands, but he'd have 'interim' written all over him. I don't doubt his ability to get us out of the shit, but then what? He'd be a more competent Cooper in that we might actually play with a degree of pragmatism, but it would be dull to watch and he'd always feel a lean month away from the sack.

The club clearly like and rate Potter. The football he plays is closer to that which we've gravitated towards for years and he has an eye for a player. If he comes in, that'll mean Rudkin being sidelined. That perhaps suggests that Whelan and Top are learning if it comes off. The best managers want control of the playing matters; Enzo was frustrated that he wasn't getting it while Cooper was happier to go with the flow. Football is changing and the club must change with it.

Vichai learned that he had the wrong approach after chucking good money after bad with Sousa and Sven, perhaps Top is belatedly learning a different, but equally important, lesson of his own.

I heard a whisper that we have approached Darren fletcher, which I’m not too happy about.

not sure about the support for rvn - hardly set the world alight in his few games in charge of Man Utd with the players he had available.

i think the board might look at Southgate, which is basically replacing cooper with a like for like replacement - i will loose all faith in the board if this happens.

the list of out of work foreign managers that keeps getting posted is interesting, I’d be up for any of them.

moyes has to be considered purely because he will come in and find a way to get the best out of what he’s got, rather than fit what he’s got into his philosophy.

potter, really not that keen tbh.

we need someone who brings high energy football. I think we would all be happy to see the team relentlessly pressing. That’s certainly what I want to see. High energy football, pressing the opposition and showing some fight - when you see your team hungry and showing effort on the pitch in that way, the results can be forgiven a bit. Fed up of not only seeing us get poor results, but the team set up tactically to look disinterested and not bothered, and that’s the worst bit.

The board I think have got Potter finally, perhaps during the international break they were working get him finally before Saturday they got the nod from Potter he'd accept. For the board though, it was all about that next defeat then pull the trigger. We lost so there got a reason to sack Cooper. Tuesday an announced will be made.

With my tinfoil hat on, I wonder if they'd got Potter lined up but didn't want the media circus of his first game being vs his old club/our old manager and a really tough fixture generally.

In a ‘perfect world’ way of thinking, RVN has recently beat us twice, so knows our weaknesses and clearly knew how to exploit them. I’d like to think he would therefore have a few ideas on how we can improve defensively. Would be a risk but at least knows a bit about what he’s dealing with. If we just want to stay up, I wouldn’t want to take a risk on someone currently managing abroad, or anyone with ‘great ideas’. Might sound boring but RVN or Moyes will probably do the job for what we need right now.

Schmidt would be amazing. Julien Stephan I’d be over the moon with.

More likely I think the club will opt for Pottee but can’t see him jumping at the chance if he’s turned us down before.

Different managers bring different strengths to a club.

Some are great at building squads, other do well with good squads already in place.

We need someone who can get the most out of what we've got and keep us in the division for 2-3 seasons so we can start building a squad that can compete for Europe.

Moyes - I'd be OK as a short term hire as he'll more than likely keep us up

Potter - just not sure - the fact that he's turned us down so many times leaves a bitter taste

José - would be a roller coaster for sure and the media would love it

Big Sam - can we get Cooper back?

RVN - just not sure - unproven really and a bit of a risk - not very Leicester like

I'd love to see them give it to Esterban - he loves us and we love him!

From reading Vardy’s book, not sure Cambiasso would go down well.

Wouldn’t want RVN, Man U still looked shite with him, and as for falling out with players at his previous club, I just can’t see it working here for him! Potter or moyes for me 2 established prem managers who will keep us up! And that’s all the job is to keep us up

Anyone except Potter.  Football is dull as dishwater and a lot of the "success" he experienced at Brighton was down tona fantastic infrastructure at the club.  No coincidence that Brighton have got better since he left.  He would do nothing here.

This is my take on Potter as well.

Esteban has no coaching qualifications, so can’t.

Moyes.

Same source that said Fatawu had done his ACL.

Short term appointment then, which would be okay as it’s clear as daylight the club will be sold in the not too distant future.
