I wanted Corberan in the summer.
He was assistant to Bielsa with Leeds in the premiership so there is some pl experience there.
If we’re looking at Corberan I’d also think we should look at Terzic. He was assistant at West Ham when Bilic was there.

Surprised that no one's mentioned Cambiasso yet. At least the crowd

would be behind him and he has no connections with Forest.

Never happen Vardy and him don’t get on

Potter is seemingly unlikely but he feels like the best fit from the main options, and has obviously been a long-term target. His appointment would bring about optimism in terms of what could be built beyond this season. Not against Moyes and there's a strong argument in his favour, but also not entirely convinced it would work out here.

Both ruled out.

Keep up

We just finished this live show. Carlos Coberan came from nowhere to smash it, so many people wanted him appointed! That really surprised me I've got to say.

I think he's an excellent coach that deserves a chance, but given some of the other names linked, was shocked so many wanted him. But if he is appointed... in King Carlos I trust!

What’s your tactical analysis of him? A step up from Cooper?

Not sure anyone really knows the full story at West Brom.

Players weren’t paid for months, neither was he, owners haven’t put any money in in years.

He’s got a squad that’s full of old school championship players and a few youngsters and he consistently gets them performing above teams who’ve invested an awful lot more.

I struggle to see how someone who was tutored by Bielsa genuinely has a “boring style” also… he’s just dealing with what he’s got in front of him and doing very well with it!

They’ve just beaten hull and drawn with Norwich. And we can all watch how they get on against a fantastic Sunderland side tomorrow.

Certainly not against the idea!!

39% career win percentage despite managing in the Cypriot league, a complete disaster at Olympiacos and the championship. We can't be guinea pigs for someone that may be good when everything so far has been completely underwhelming. The only reason he is even being mentioned is because he was worked with Bielsa. We should be aiming for someone like Bielsa not just someone who may have learned a bit from him over a season or two. We really can't afford to get this wrong. We also need someone who will be able to bring in quality players and has the contacts to do so. We can do much better.

My nan is a tactical step-up from Cooper!

I was very impressed with Corberan last season. Many will point out that his WBA team is rather defensive and doesn't score many goals, but if you look at the transfer budgets Corberan has worked with, he's over performed every season.

He is a gamble, but I think he has a high ceiling. Likes to use a 32 build up shape at times, changes formations during the match. Defensively excellent at setting up a 442 compact block. I think he'd make us much harder to beat and would get goals out of us. But don't expect to see champagne football from him right away, and maybe not ever. Though I think he does have good ideas for attacking patterns of play that better players will facillitate.

Maybe Corberan is already lined up to take over but we have to be careful not to be seen to of tapped him up. Possibly it’s done but can’t announce anything for a few days.
Not saying I know anything but it would make sense.
