Sustainability is always key, under Cooper we only just managed double figures in terms of shots on target across all of his home games, which included a game against an Everton side who'd conceded 4 in every game before that (we had 2 shots on target in that game).

So where's the sustainability now?

What is it doing? Where is it getting us?

What a ****ing miserable bunch of people. It's more than doable and we have competed well in last couple of games. Foxestalk predicted none of our achievements. It even almost unanimously said we'd struggle to get back up last season. If anything the fact most of you have given up is probably the biggest indication we'll be okay.

There's only one rule in a relegation race. Stay within a win of safety. You've always got a chance if so.

It’s a results business, and Ruud isn’t getting them

Maybe because we’re just shit,  and the quicker people realise that the better

4 points from 7 games losing 5 on the trot.
I still think a more experienced manager gets at least a draw against wolves which could end up being the difference.
Need at least 4 points from these next 2 home games.

Cooper's record was bumped up by four points against ten men versus the two teams around us. We had 12 shots on target in 6 home games. A 95th minute penalty when the game is done v Chelsea doesn't make it a better attacking performance than last Sunday, for instance.

dont brush over the fact, Spurs, Everton and Bournemouth all should have got more from the KP too

No manager on earth gets a point without playing a GK. ok, was his choice not to play one. But with no GK, there's no points

My frustration with RVN is his reluctance to use Hamza over Justin and his preference for Ayew over Buonanotte. Sticking with JJ is remarkable considering his key role in goals against us in all of the last 4 games - never mind the whole season. The guy is being targeted because he is clearly one of our weakest links.

I know Ayew created the goal but his press and back tracking starts off only ok and quickly drops off to the point that he pretty much stops doing it. He was as culpable for the goal as JJ and ultimately Buonanotte is a better all round footballer. Ayew is a great sub and his ability to win free kicks is fine when we are trying to shut down a game but winning freekicks in our own half and in the middle of the pitch, that invariably end up with putting the ball back towards our goal (as the players pretty much always do) isn’t helping us one bit. Unfortunately RVN has got it in his head that he can only play ElK or Buonanotte whereas they are intelligent enough to play together. ElK suffered today because he didn’t have Buonanotte to work with. Play them both Ruud ffs.

How many games this season have we actually put in a full 90 performance and looked decent and got something?

I reckon Palace away is the closest

I know we did West Ham at home but like many times this season we got away with it big time

It was always going to be about the 2nd half of the season when RVN took over, after a Jan transfer window.

RVN deserves huge criticism for Wolves, but overall what he's doing in training is making us a better side.

There was a certain point in the game after we equalised, that we could have possibly pushed on for the win, but Villas goal was a wardesque brain fart from Justin, if not for that we deffo come away with at least a point there. We just need a decent Jan window, keep the faith

it's getting as much as we were getting under Cooper, basically nothing, because that gremlin ****ed up the transfer window. It does however give a better base to work from than Cooper's "keep shoving four leaf clovers up my arse" approach

So El Khannouss is shit? Bounanotte? Must be RVN isn't playing him?

Ayew? I mean he's done alot of heavy lifting and we'd be far worse off without him, wouldn't we?

I'll give you Edouard - Although we've not even given him a chance, maybe a reason for that.

BDCR - Squad player and in our predicament probably as good as we could attract.

Skipp - Unneeded but wouldn't call him shit.

Okoli - I'm not a keen I must admit.

I struggle to see what's wrong with a few of those signings, we could have done with more, we could have done with better but this is how our club operates and will continue even with RVN (Or anyone else) in charge.

And incase you weren't aware RVN hasn't even bought or been allowed any of his own staff, so by that metric we'll have the same staff as Cooper had operating bringing in players. Yippee!

We are 7 away from palace too far away now. Everton are already 3 points away. Wolves and Ipswich, one at least will get something this weekend. That puts us potentially a minimum of 3 away from safety (god forbid they pick up a win). It’s getting to the stage where this January window should be all about prepping for next season in the championship.

he spent 25 million on Skipp, a 5th choice Centre Midfielder, while we had two available right backs, both of whom are made of biscuits and one of whom still looked average at best in the division below. in what world is it not a **** up to chase squad depth while ignoring priority positions?

Bournemouth showing the way with it all imo

they got Iraola from Rayo Vallecano(unknown for many but highly rated), given him time etc and then have been incredibly savvy in the transfer market

the club need to shake up behind the scenes too, Rudkin either needs to depart or move aside for a proper sporting director

Agree but one win changes everything.

It's a three horse race for two spots. I'd say we are 75% likely to end up in one of those spots but it's isn't (yet) over. Panic kills. Cool heads and bravery needed

Yes, I agree. The only thing is this team is, without doubt, 3 or 4 players away from being competitive. It is also in a rut of defeats. We will say at most 1-2 players of quality this Jan because we don’t have the capability to do more. Thats where we lose it. Wolves, Everton are better than us on paper and Ipswich have a good coach and back room. A lot going against us.
