and I've not argued against any of that? we're talking specifically about one game. I do not see why it's necessary to discredit the one game he's actually done well in, rather than state that many managers have had a good first game and been crap afterwards (Hell, iirc Holloway was our first manager to win his debut game in like 4 decades). Instead it's apparently important to claim he's been bad for 100% of his games rather than 95% of them.

My point is that it's not worth arguing the toss between 100% bad and 95% bad, when it's very very very bad overall.

The performance in the specific game you're talking about is immaterial.

I think the fact that we haven't scored a singular league goal since January, have lost 13 from the last 14 and the fact Ruud is still here makes even keeping Rodgers as long as we did look comparatively sensible now! Unbelievable. It must be either nobody else wants to come here to manage for the rest of the season and have a relegation on their CV (not even as an interim), or it would cost the club too much to sack him, while he won't just walk away and lose millions! What a mess.

A few saying tops pride getting in the way. However I feel not sacking him will be doing more damage to his pride.

He should take a leaf out of his fathers book then as pride won't get you very far his father got rid of Pearson and Ranieri after everything they did, Ruud has done nothing to warrant not getting sacked.

Pretty sure he would have got rid of Rodgers as well before the inevitable.

hes still in charge, i honestly dont know what to expect anymore,

the clown just has to admit we are down, and so planning for next season now if hes staying, so bin off a few of them in the squad and give some of the kids a go

I wish journalists would be more harsh and direct in their line of questioning to him. "Ruud your current record is one of the worst in Premier League history, are you embarrassed?" is one that should be thrown at him.

My fear is that they took him on, on the condition that he'll still be in charge next season even if we go down... and now think they have to follow through with that.

I think that line of questioning would break him.Blokes had smoke blown up his arse his entire career.

I would imagine that since the Football League started in the 1800's, no manager has kept their job with a results record as appalling as his. I could understand it if we were showing any signs of improvement but we are actually getting worse

This is what set the standard. The fact this isn't even that surprising sums up quite how much damage this owner has done to this club.

Genuinely wouldn’t shock me if he stays here before the end of this season.

He’s not getting sacked until the summer. Our board are that deluded they will think there’s still a chance, and won’t sack him due to PSR reasons. I’d just bin him off now, he’s not going to be here next season so just **** him off and let Ling blood a few of the youngsters into the first team.

As of he's still our manager lol

Don't worry, we've got a predictable loss post international break tomorrow, that's what usually does the trick for this lot.
