His agent has probably released a story to the Sun to get the board to do something. Enzo had to do it last year. The little dweeb probably promised him the world and now Ruud is calling it in. 
 

It’s shame we have to operate like this. Big decision for the board.

Dyche wouldn't come to us firstly. Secondly his type of  football is vastly stereotyped. It's much more complex than the absurd kick and rush that he's tarred with. Thirdly he wouldn't play Coady - I like that. Fourth the Dutchman ain't going anywhere I'd imagine. So its all academic

It's sad to say, as one of my favourite all time players, I don't really care if he leaves. He was handed a horrible card, but some of his decisions were absolutely horrendous.

From Ruuds perspective, it would also shift any blame away from him because he can say it was so bad he had to walk, and fans across football would likely think "If Ruud has walked away from millions it has to be bad"
The board get massive pressure that is needed, and Ruud clears his name.

Can't afford the 5 million compo for Rohl surely.

Well we allegedly have £14m to spend in January, and if Cannon goes that adds 10m to the budget. Minus whatever compensation Ruud would get if he managed to negotiate a deal to part ways rather than just quit. If there was only £5m left I'd spend the lot on Rohl. 
Don't get me wrong, the best case scenario is it clicks tomorrow and we go on to survive and we've uncovered Ruud as a managerial gem, but the likelihood is we go down, so my judgement is based on what it is that he's doing that could give me confidence he can get us promoted with no budget and likely a points deduction, I can't see it with Ruud. 
Rohl is showing he can get a League 1 squad comfortable with no budget, and his system is aggressive.

He's done a great job with them. I'm just not sure I trust the 'money to spend' thing as its pretty clear we have needed to bring players in. Also bringing a manager in with no compo twice, instead of a Rohl/Corabean from the start.

Ruud do yourself a massive favour..  walk away ... this board promise but don't deliver .... let's be totally honest who in their right mind would want this job ... the club is poorly run and is only looking downwards and fail to give an honest picture of the shambolic mess it has put itself in

Yep that was something I really couldn't understand, we were rumoured by the media to not want to pay for a manager because of budget restrictions, yet we spent 50m+ on players, it made zero sense

I think this is a joke, however we got linked with him before BR left. So it wouldn't surprise me.

 

At least he can go to the fan club after every game, as thats where he looks like he's off too.
