Who we gonna drag into it? Wolves??

No chance, they have the entirety of the bottom half of the League coming up, the bottom 3 are set. The 3 that come up will also be woefully short, the league is becoming a 17 team closed shop with some wildcards.

This, unfortunately is the truth.  Look at the top of the Championship this season.  Three teams that got beat on a regular basis last season, bar Luton, are at the top of the Championship this.  Leeds, who themselves must be sailing close to breaching psr.  Sheff Utd a team last season were getting pumped regularly 4 and 5 in the premiership and of course Burnley.  Burnley, a team that has a brilliant defence but can't score goals.

Premier league is becoming a closed shop because of psr which quite frankly, needs binning off.

We need an experienced manager:

Jorge Sampaoli

Walter Mazzarri

We cannot go down the inexperienced manager route again not if we want to stay up. We still have time to save our bacon.

Unfortunately, no manager would keep our current players in the premier league.  We could have prime Pep, Ferguson, Wenger, Mourinho and none would be able to keep our crop up.  We are going down we will be gone by April.

Why would you ever have him. That’s just a massive gamble we can’t keep doing that just ends up being a waste of money.

Enzo?

Every week, I see the usual from three and just think, if only somehow we can bum our way to 65 mins and be in the game, we have the better players off the bench to win this.

Yesterday at 70 mins, the game was there for the taking. Some tactical tweaks to bring on a three combo of Daka, Stephy, Facu, Winks or even Skipp....we could've asked real questions of Arsenal.

Does he make any tactical tweaks? I've seen very few in any games. That's almost his biggest failing.

Nah.

Pep or Artetta or Ancollotti or conte, or any top class manager couldn't keep this team up.

The recruitment has been that bad we have got a worse team than in the championship last season. Mainly due to injuries as well.

It's not the manager it's the recruitment

This.

With no additional improvements in the squad since he joined Ruud has been hung out to dry!!!

What about him? We got very lucky there. We can’t afford to gamble again. The club needs some stability, Lee Carsley is no better than Cooper with Dyche we no what sort of manager we’re getting who is a good fit for us in the championship.

I get the argument that RVN has been hung out to dry with lack of recruitment but it’s baffling that Okoli hasn’t played more. Clearly our best cb option. I know that’s not saying a lot. Coulibaly looks better than Justin. The dad’s army front 3 is embarrassing when Mavidi and Bounatte should be starting.
His obsession with pl experience players is shocking and his lack of getting subs on earlier in games is questionable at the very least.
9 defeats in the last 10 games but he’ll still persist with the same formation when we should at least try 3-5-2.

It's great to read someone with rationale thought.

Rather than this imbecile of a manager who keeps doing the same thing but expecting different results.

I was tricked into thinking RVN is an upgrade in every way over Cooper.

When the stark reality is that they both were awful appointments.

If Top keeps him on when the inevitable happens (relegation) then I think I’m done with this circus of ownership and my already dwindled interest will be almost non existent.

I never thought that I’d feel that way but football in general really winds me up recently.

Meanwhile Everton co-lead the PL in points since Moyes took over. It matters, this manager thing.

Absolutely. All this talk of no manager keeping us up is rubbish. Dyche 17pts in 18 games, scoring 15goals. Moyes same players, same team, 13pts in 7 games, scoring 12goals. We probably only need 32/33pts to beat relegation, a competent manager could've achieved that.

No manager on earth is teaching Faes to defend that is all…

Not sure any manager can suddenly make this team full of goals.

Funny isn't it? We had plenty of goals earlier in the season!

The defensive line has been changing gradually game on game. Against Arsenal it was very high.

I felt we played the offside trap very well in both games and deserved a draw in each. I would argue our defence has been a lot more organised in the last 2 games and that this has led to overall better games from us.

We also conceded a lot and still lost. The basic concept of football is being able to keep a clean sheet we simply do not have the players for that.

He brings in the so called attacking marvels from the bench, who are all shit, have all been on the bench under multiple managers. True to form the magical Stephy does a run with a crap step over, loses it, stands there looks, jogs back, Arsenal score. These players NONE of them are the answer, NONE of them are good enough.

He isn’t the man to save us.

He won’t be the man to rebuild us in the Championship.

He isn’t the right guy for us.

No point dragging it out but this board have absolutely no clue whatsoever.

Dyche and his men IN, plz.

it's pretty easy to argue against: Everton away is the only game you'd look at and say maybe Cooper would have got something, but it's worth remembering that he'd lost the players and performances were in the toilet when he was finally sacked. For me, we don't beat west ham or come back v Brighton under Cooper, we still lose at Newcastle, still end up playing Ward v Wolves and throwing that game, still lose the following 5 league games given Coopers sole tactic was hope Hermansen is possessed by the spirit of Lev Yashin. Decent chance we'd have beaten spurs given their injury issues but then Everton were the same position in the home game and we barely threatened them. Honestly with Cooper there's a reasonable chance we'd be on 14 points now.

No manager can account for or even expect a midfielder, who is pretty well built, to duck out of the way of a simple header and let the attacker get in front of him so easily. That set the tone for the game and showed the lack of fight, awareness and ability this team have.

Now we aren’t under sustained attack for 85 mins, hoping Mads saves and the cbs mop up the loose balls.  That’s where the Soumare weekend jog causes more problems as we have zero protection in midfield, unless Ndidi plays.

I’m guessing we have no technical team showing them the problems and working on them. Are the players ignoring tactics?

JJ comes across to cover an attacker with Faes, that leaves the wing wide open and we get overloaded every time. I can’t see any point playing like, while I understand the theory, as attackers slip by the two of them doubling up with ease anyway.

If this is because VK is bombing forward, maybe tell Ayew and Mav they are allowed to pass the ball to a player in space instead of leaving him out to dry when they inevitably fall over or kick the ball against the defender after 5 step overs.

Woyo made more standing tackles in one game than I can remember JJ making all season. Okoli is showing promise as a defender but takes too long to make a pass so backtracks and puts himself against a press too often. Next year in the champs will help him develop.

TLDR; I’m over Ruud.  The players and manager are just not very good at their jobs.  Same players, same tactics, same mistakes, same results.

The guy who failed with much better players at Everton? Really, and a style worse than Coopers. Would be horrific. I’m not even sure in modern football dyche gets out of the Championship
