Ipswich want him too, you know he would go there and score goals.

Unless you can pay big money for a quality proven striker, you have to take a gamble sometimes on a player. It depends who our rivals are after too, if there is genuinely a better striker we can go for and afford then we should, but there’s something about this lad, he’s not excelling at Brighton as they had hoped, but a change of manager and coaching could help him.

Unfortunately we’re not in a position to be picky.

Big difference selling Vs loaning.

I don’t get this argument.

Brighton have a good track record with players and Ferguson has already shown a lot of potential and it would seem he has fallen out of the plans for current manager and lost a bit of form.

We would never sign anyone if the logic is every player a selling club sells must be rubbish. That doesn’t make sense and there could be numerous reasons for a sale , take financial PSR for example.

He may have been highlighted by the recruitment analysis that his strengths will be a huge asset to us and they believe that the player could find form again utilising the strengths they’ve seen. Sometimes the market will dictate you take chances on outliers, players out of form or deemed past it.

Some in our fan base questioned Mads, too small and BEK too much for a player from an inferior league who doesn’t score or assist. Recruiting these have been spot on and clearly the average fan won’t see what recruitment team will see. Like with anything it’s risk, some come off and some they don’t.

Brendan rated him very highly, so it’s likely he’s been on the list for some time.

Young with a point to prove. I’d prefer someone more likely to hit the ground running but no guarantees anywhere and no idea who that could be.

Why do we even bother to pretend we are a professional football club, we gone from being ambitious forward thinking club to this pile of shit😡

I am so ashamed of this club, especially when u see other clubs similar to us develop and move forward.

It's really tragic to see what could have been. Villa are doing exactly what we should have done in that position, cemented themselves as a top club, doing well in the Champions League and making signings like Rashford and Asensio. Our downfall should be studied.

It probably has in fairness….. which is why other teams aren’t making the same errors.

If they don’t qualify for Europe again I’d still expect them to have to play safe next season even after selling that Duran.

That said, they have been far more clever than us in exploring the loan with no obligation markets, if Rashford and Asensio fail then  they go back at the end of the season having just wasted on wages and not stuck with deadwood on 3 year deals

Didn’t Villa lost to Wolves yesterday. We progressed further than them in the champions league. Just saying.

All great consolations for us as we go down for the second time in 3 seasons I’m sure 🙄

And they are still in the Champions League so you might be going a bit early on that….

What they did manage to do was have the stones to actually see the job through and finish in the top 4 rather than bottling it twice.
