Wow what a performance especially given that Ruud had two training sessions and one of those was a recovery session for the majority of the squad.

it was far from perfect especially the number of chances conceded but Rome wasn’t built in a day. However we looked a team again, lots of energy, intensity and most importantly purpose to our play.

What impressed me most was his in game management and subs, they were proactive rather than reactive, he saw how the game was evolving and made changes to suit, brave call to replace Vards on the hour and it paid off handsomely.

The shift in mentality was massive for me, last night we looked like a team who believed they can compete at this level and they can create and score chances and win games of football rather than the negative mindset of trying to cling on in games and damage limitation we endured under Cooper. Surely there can be no doubters now that the decision to get rid of Cooper was the correct one.

If Ruud can continue to get his ideas across and continue week on week to improve us and make us more tactical solid and defensively sound whilst maintaining a cutting edge at the top end of the field then I think we can stay up and have a decent season.

last night showed this squad has some decent quality within it and if we can add 2 or 3 to help in areas that need strengthening I can see us ending up in the bracket of teams fighting it out for 10-15th position and keep our heads above the relegation battle.

The performance last night highlights just how bad Cooper was for us. We were so poor under him it got me questioning whether the players were actually good enough to even give it a go this season.

Bring in a manager with tactical ideas, inspire the players and make good adjustments and subs and look at the difference.

The Cooper era is now finally over and the future looks a lot brighter.

A few things stood out for me , mavididi has gone from the penthouse to the sh** house he seems to have lost any go , no going at the defence with any purpose, he also looks lazy no real effort to get back .
young mcateer looks very good when he is but away and he runs on to the ball , but he stands like a statue when a team meet try’s to get him into space . Soumare and nididi worked there socks off but we really need winks in there , not sure how Rudd works that midfield out but I know he will .
and mads how good is this bloke , now who was that other Dane we had 🤔😜

No point over analysing the game, in terms of what kind of win you want after 48 hours with a new coach is that….. we know the defence needs sorting, but Ruud simply hasn’t had the time yet to really make significant changes… what we did see was a snippet of what he is trying to do, and he managed to get the lads going to take their chances.

Overall, really pleased with the reaction, and am looking forward to what he can do.

The first thing I noticed was the pressing from the beginning. We did it collectively, not just Vardy running up by himself. The other part I noticed was the willingness to break quickly.

These were two things I feel we lost, but had been our identity for a long time.

Defensively we look shaky, but as others have said we might be able to outscore other teams, which will make the games entertaining again too.

might be against consensus but I actually think mcateer was vital to that win. His energy stretched the pitch and pulled their defenders all over. His output wasn’t up to scratch but he’s been out the side all season so that’s basically a pre-season run out for him.

if we’re going to have buonnanotte and Bilal you need a keen runner ala marc albrighton.

I thought this. Mavididi is a far better footballer, but it's not always about picking the best footballers, it's about striking the right balance. I thought Stephy looked a threat when he came on but he's going to have to work much harder if he wants to win his place back. Until then, Kasey starts.

I'm aware that Buonanotte can't play against Brighton, Stephy will probably start by default.

Collectively the midfield was bollocks; it is they, not the defence that allowed 30 shots on goal.

Say what you want about the way we played, but without Hermansen's heroics we are as good as gone.

I was quite shocked how easily WH won every header and 50:50 in that first half. We seemed really out muscled and powder puff. I think the 2 in midfield will ultimately evolve to 3. Certainly against stronger teams.

That said - and i have to admit i havent watched a lot of Leicester games this season, if its true some players downed tools that is also bad. You play for the badge and a weekly wage many would dream to have in a year. For all the feathers up Lopeteguis rear, Leicester now have more goals for than Westham. That wasn't just bcs of Ruud.

And him too, needs to prove he has what it takes beyond the new manager bounce. If he is all that, why didn't man united players score in games vs brighton, chrystal palace and this west ham? Those games were lost because of players downing tools. Ten Hag got royally done by that toxic bunch.

But from the small sample i have, this Leicester squad has a lot of quality, in each part of the team. More than good enough to play attacking style. Maybe the Maresca/Cooper switch was too big.

Last nights win was on merit and im looking forward to more of that.

Incredibly happy and impressed by that yesterday. I know it’s one game but I can see a great Christmas period for us. One that will set this guy up for an excellent January window. I think we’ve gone light years ahead with this appointment.

Funnily enough, no one has mentioned chairty lcfc allowing Fullkrug to score his first PL goal against us.

but then again, who cares?

build ruud a statue

To be honest, Hammers deserved a goal at least so it was expected. Just happy that it was when the game was done!

The subs had me worried but, by and large, they were made appropriately.

If you need to take off Vesty and your only option is Faes then that's what you do. But I hope being on the bench gives Faes some food for thought.

Moving McAteer to left wing at half time puzzled me, but he wasn't getting a look in against Wan-Bissaka.

It was a great move though.

I think Stephy will play his way back into the side. We have a lot of games over the next month.

Good first 5 mins, very very poor following 60 mins, good final 25 mins.

Some horror shows in there defensively. It's not an exaggeration to say we need 4 starters in January (Providing Winks/Ricardo are out for a while).

It was 1 win after 3 defeats by a margin of 3-1, taking us to 13 points, in front of 31k fans in week 1, day 3 of RvN's reign!

Now you have done it, cant wait to see Brighton beat us 31-0

3-1 good win, some very good goals, the defence is a bomb scare though and held on for large parts

31 shots from West Ham, yikes.
