It'll be interesting to see what RVD will do here.

I'd like to see him bring Mavididi on so that we have a player on the pitch who is confident in their 1v1's.

Guessing a flying frog splash at half time

To be fair (to Ruud,) can see why he's gone with Ayew but when he's not on it he really stinks.

Mav will clearly come on at some point either for Ayew or McAteer.

As for McAteer on the right who the **** do you want to play, BDR? Daka lol? We're very lightweight on the right

Thought that was a promising half all in all though.

More pace needed on the counter attack, Mav for Ayew has to happen at half time.

Got to imagine that if Mav doesn't come straight in or relatively soon then he's not fit.

RvN might wait on it a bit though cos I'm assuming Ayew is supposed to be helping out the mid with Bilal ahead of Wilf n Bouba.

Some players must have minutes clauses set by their agents in their contracts. Otherwise it doesn't make any sense Soumare and McAteer are starting ahead of Skipp and Mavididi.

It's either the above or all the managers are useless frauds who get the jobs because of connections on the high hierarchy.

Brighton Are a decent side and so far we haven’t been steam rollered , but frustratingly often present ourselves with decent opportunities then the final pass or poor decision let’s us down.

This is a championship XI thanks to Cooper and co’s moronic transfer window and not helped by injuries. So far off Brighton’s level it’s almost embarrassing. Ruud can’t shit miracles with this load of no hopers. Massive January needed if we are to have any chance of staying up.

Looking at the fixtures for us and those below. We are a inevitably going into the bottom 3. RVN really needs to improve this team in the window and ship some of the crap out the door.

I sit in B3 so have had prime position to watch this all time disasterclass from Ayew. Watching him try and cope with the movement of Rutter and Lamptey has been a horror. Absolutely needs hooking at HT, for anyone frankly. McAteer not much better.

Need to try and get El Khannouss closer to Vardy but the Brighton press is suffocating and our defence too deep so we can't connect through the lines when we do have it.

No flair in this side apart from Bilal. No control in the middle of the park with two midfielders treating the ball like a hot potato. Skipp and Mav on please

Let's not forget that 2 of our best attacking outlets are not available in Fats and Buo.

It's not all doom n gloom.  Buo will be back next game.  Shame Fats won't but Kasey is 3rd in the pecking order, can't moan too much.

Well. We are the 2nd best team out there. The ref makes it even more frustrating to watch.

We have really not assembled a very exciting team. RvN really has a job on his hands.

Oh well. They are trying.

I wouldn't say inevitably. There are some really poor sides in this league. We're just 1 of 6 of them

Agree that we need to be active in the transfer window though

Just need a bit more quality going forward. No disgrace losing to Brighton given the limited options we have especially with no Buonanotte.

Think we can turn it around still though

He doesn't really have great wide options for this game at all does he.

Can't play Facundo, Fatawu is injured, Mavididi is in awful form.

Our options weren't great to begin with but he's lost his best two off the bat for the right. That's on top of being in the first week of a job with a squad that's not really been coached for months against one of the best coached sides in the league.

Always a massive ask. Just gotta accept it's a journey and give him time.

Mavididi for Ayew and I'd throw Thomas on for Kristenson as he is better going forward at 75mins if still one down.

Daka for Vardy when he is done.

El Khannouss won't do 90 but I've no idea what to do about that 😂

James has looked better :)

I've hardly noticed Vesteguard, which is probably a good thing.

You can see this is an improvement on the West Ham game in terms of patterns, retaining possession (to have a breather). The threat is there as well. A few times a better final ball and we would/should have been in.
