We should almost have a blanket ban on intra-PL signings, unless they're under 23 or it's a completely favourable financial deal. Almiron would be neither.

23 goals, 6 assists (!!!) in 186 appearances (139 nineties).

Swerve, swerve, swerve.

 

I think McAteer is crap, a lower Championship player but I'd rather him than sign Almiron on what would invariably be a 3 year deal.

All well and good stockpiling these kinds of players but we do actually need to sign some quality.

 

I like Almiron in that he's a tryer but we don't have any consistent quality from the wings.

But how people are turning their nose up at this just shows the snobbery and that I don't think anyone would be happy with anything we do or sign.

 

People need to wake up and realise how far we've fallen, accept it. They were happy to accept the glaring red flags and should have done something about it rather than claiming it was all fine! Too late to piss and moan about every single thing now.

 

That said i'd have been quite happy to take Almiron even when we were in our 'pomp', let alone now.

I’d take him on loan. The lad was amazing 12 months ago assisting and scoring for fun. 
 

What I do think is that in a three he’d find Vardy - guy can pick a pass.

It's not snobbery. Almiron isn't an improvement on our options. 

 

We should be improving the starting 11 to stay up, not signing squad players.

Yes he is, but we should be aiming for far better than both if we want to stay in the league.

Nobody is, I think we'd all take him over Ward right now but I doubt Liverpool are interested in letting him go tbh...
