Top comes out and doesn’t even say anything on the mic, like some sort of ‘cult of the leader’ North Korean dictator. The whole set up with the presentation felt like it had organised to minimise discontent from the crowd - including getting the ex players out to Top carrying his baby.

I had minimal respect for them anyway, but it’s a bit less now.

Good to hear the anti board sentiment still being aired. If they don't like it, tough. One game where we celebrate an all time great doesn't override the shitshow produced this season.

Considering the definite 'end of an era' vibe we have now, can we/does anyone trust Top et al. to create a new one that's worthwhile...?

Sadly the club will never have another era like that. Something aligned, we ****ed it up and now we are back where we started yo-yoing and I suspect if the club piss around until June 30th as I expect due to PSR and then bring in a half wit like Dyche or Martin, who will not have enough time to build and fans will want sacking by December as immediate change and success is expected now, we will probably have a good 10 years or so away from the top division .

Didn't go today. But heard on RL that they had the ex players walk the pitch with the current set. They even said that was probably tactical so there wouldn't be discontent

Current squad got booed as they came out to join the guard of honour

Note: 'Worthwhile' doesn't necessarily mean the best, just not bad - something worth watching...

Suppose it depends on the definition of 'not bad'

We might go up and down a few times, we may play something entertaining at times and we may have the odd good player who gets snapped up by the greedy 6 for a period.

Will we ever compete and win trophies or even be a stable top 10 Premier League club again? not likely unless someone very astute is put into the senior positions at the club.

Nope, all the ex players were read out one by one to big cheers, then the current squad were booed (from what I heard anyway).

I think this is quite a likely outcome for the next few years and I definitely agree

There are just so many similar sized clubs with ambitions of having a run in the PL that it will be tough breaking through that alone

They were given all the riches and the perfect platform to carry on a fantastic PL run but instead have spectacularly chucked it all away to be exactly where they were when they took over

I'd imagine next season they will be competitive but not as dominant as 23/24 undo Enzo and failing to come back up for a season in the PL could see the slow run back into being an established Championship club only

I wasn't there yesterday, but I didn't miss it at all which sort of saddens me after going to 100s of games and the likelihood is that I will probably only return 1-2 games a year now (at best)

Did make me laugh how the stadium announcer said “let’s hear it for your Leicester city first team” I mean what the **** were they expecting? A massive cheer?  The boos should have been louder.

The club thinks 90% of the crowd are better trained than that.

I was surprised too on my last visit (S'ton game) when they got clapped onto the pitch for warm up

I could see a few sat folded arms refusing to clap them onto the pitch

Hence some hilarious frothing from a few of the weirdos at the front of SK1.

Laughing at them did the trick

Honestly?  With the current PSR rules, or evn without them, it is almost impossible for a medium sized club like ours to be in the top 10 of the prem regularly, and to avoid relegation consistently.  I fully expect that what we saw happen to us will also happen to Forest, Palace, Brentford, Brighton etc in the coming years.  No one will manage consistent success over more than a decade or so.  We / they simply don't have the funds to make mistakes, and under current rule cannot top up with owners cash.  The system is rigged.
