While Jakub is a competent understudy and Mads money could be spent strengthening elsewhere, it would be insane to rely on somebody returning from a few months out with injury for the rest of the season. Particularly when the second choice would then basically guarantee relegation.

Surely it has to be him to start against QPR for match fitness if nothing else with Daka coming on in the second half perhaps. Also Okoli, Skipp, Alves, Thomas plus any right back youth alternative? In fact blood some kids to add interest in an otherwise going through the motions game.

daddylonglegs Posted 2 January 2025 Posted 2 January 2025 It's a bit quiet regarding Ndidi - we desperately need some defensive cover in midfield. 1

Lcfcfantom Posted 3 January 2025 Posted 3 January 2025 Anyone know if there is a specific away pub for villa tommorow that’s reasonably close to the ground ? 🦊
AjcW Posted 3 January 2025 Posted 3 January 2025 Why the **** are we wearing the nightmare kit? Surely too close to Villa. White would have made perfect sense...

Used to be the Witton Arms but they've redone it and is largely home fans now. Id suggest just drinking in the City Centre and then jump on the train for kick off. The Colmore The Shakespeare Head of Steam Wellington Post Office Vaults All decent options for beer and within 5/10mins of New St.

AKCJ Posted 3 January 2025 Posted 3 January 2025 Don't know if it's been mentioned but they're missing Carlos, Philogene, Rodgers, Duran and Torres.

Better chance of picking up a result than normal, plus they've had extra CL games - want to see us actually threaten and score rather than just keep it tight and a spirited 1-0 loss or something. 1

Chaos it was. The police shut the car park and locked us all in. Some Villa fans came around the corner and it all went wild. Pool balls, stones being chucked, buses getting rocked outside. All that for a 0-0.
Chelmofox Posted 3 January 2025 Posted 3 January 2025 (edited) Might be due to the copious pain killers i've been taking following an abscess and tooth extraction (i know how to rock new year), but i'm quietly confident we get something here, even if just a draw. Dahnsouff Posted 3 January 2025 Posted 3 January 2025 Except you @Chelmofox - sounds like they are warranted (Abscesses are not nice at all). 1
Gravel Posted 3 January 2025 Posted 3 January 2025 Zutons rock and roll bloke predicting the score with Sutton this week must've taken too much of something recreational... Dave's prediction: I am not sure about this one. There is a bit of a Midlands rivalry there, and I reckon Leicester might surprise a few people. 0-2
Spudulike Posted 3 January 2025 Posted 3 January 2025 Weather forecast to be a bit snowy. Get the orange ball out and sweep the lines

Meanwhile in the more recent league cup semi-final there it was also chaos, but due to a huge Pikachu being lobbed around . I think it's home fans only now though. May be wrong. 1
