Sly Posted 2 January 2025 Posted 2 January 2025 https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-tottenham-leicester-race-to-sign-thomas-kristensen-price-revealed/ Tottenham, Leicester City and Bayer Leverkusen are in a race to sign Udinese defender Thomas Kristensen, sources have told Football Insider. Kristensen, 22, is valued at £16.5million by the Serie A club and they could be tempted by an offer around that sum. Spurs are in the market for centre-back reinforcements due to their defensive injury crisis. Ange Postecoglou’s side are believed to have watched the 6ft 6in defender in action during Udinese’s win at Fiorentina just before Christmas. Leicester and Bayer Leverkusen are both looking to strengthen their centre-back options in January. Kristensen is set to continue his rapid rise by being called up to the Denmark senior squad from the Under-21s for the next round of internationals in March. He has made seven appearances in Serie A this term with a calf injury limiting his involvement in the first half of the 2024-25 campaign. The 22-year-old joined Udinese from Aarhus in 2023 and signed a contract with the Bianconeri until June 2028. Tottenham watch Udinese star Kristensen in action Kristensen has racked up 79 appearances during his senior career to date, notching two goals and one assist. Tottenham sit 11th in the Premier League and remain in contention to qualify to the Europa League knockout stages, while Leicester are 19th in their battle against relegation under Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Verumex Posted 3 January 2025 Posted 3 January 2025 If this happens, how long before whoever does the team sheet graphic mixes up his and VK's numbers? 3
TheStig Posted 3 January 2025 Posted 3 January 2025 Then instead of beeing Chelseas feeder club we´ll just switch to become the feeder club for the Danish national team. 1
sphericalfox Posted 3 January 2025 Posted 3 January 2025 It’s the Norwegians we should be looking at not the Danish…

desertfox2 Posted 3 January 2025 Posted 3 January 2025 Same height as Vestergaard. There must be something in the water in Denmark. 1
JimJams Posted 3 January 2025 Posted 3 January 2025 Is the reason Coady has gone back into the side for his "leadership" qualities, ie his communication, and now that's not panning out we're just going all Danish to give some coordination and coherency at the back? Cos Danes famously only speak Patois.

Claudio Fannieri Posted 4 January 2025 Posted 4 January 2025 Wonder if we could include Okoli in a deal especially if he is looking to go back to Italy. Let’s say the are prepared to offer our money back so nil PSR impact and in return we pay a slightly higher fee so say £20m instead of £15m but over 4/5 year amortisation it’s literally £1m per season. Could be a win win for both parties. 2

moore_94 Posted 6 January 2025 Posted 6 January 2025 https://sportwitness.co.uk/leicester-city-have-literally-stalked-player-foxes-ahead-in-race/ Leicester City have ‘literally stalked’ player – Foxes ahead in race Last week, Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur were mentioned as potential suitors for Udinese defender Thomas Kristensen. German champions Bayer Leverkusen were also suggested as an interested party and more has now emerged about the situation around the 22-year-old defender. Messaggero Veneto have reported that exits could be a problem for Udinese this month, even if manager Kosta Runjaic has made it clear that the club has no need to sell players in January. Despite that, it is stated that Kristensen is being ‘literally stalked’ by Leicester City, who will have to pay about €16.5m to sign him, but that price tag doesn’t scare the Foxes at all. While the report mentions that Tottenham and Leverkusen are also interested, they seem confident that it is Leicester City who are leading the race for the centre-back. Kristensen’s exit will not be massive for Udinese by any means but the indication is that his loss will still impact the side, with the Dane having started three of the last four Serie A games for the club. He has made eight appearances in all competitions so far this season. 1 1

Explains where Rudkin’s been on holiday then
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 6 January 2025 Posted 6 January 2025 From the footage I’ve been able to find of Kristensen (his time in denmark) interestingly, he spent a lot of his time at right back or the right side of a back 3 which may further indicate a plan to move to a back 3? From what I’ve seen he appears very similar to Vestergaard but he has a tad more pace and loves switching the ball with long diagonal passes. He doesn’t appear to use his size as well as he could though, again similar to Vesty.
