Gee instead of buying 4-5 cheap useless players buy 2 class players and start building a better team

I think it is because class players don't need to join a basket case of a club in a relegation battle, and if they did we would end up paying stupid wages next year in the Championship.

I'm sure I read somewhere that he's getting a 4yr contract. I just can't find it again, so maybe wrong. I just hope he turns out to be decent and we're not stuck with a dud.

Left winger and centre back too. Rudkin really has been holiday hasn’t he!

I don't know anything about the player but I like the idea of a full back comfortable on either foot. Too often players stop momentum to favour one foot because they are not confident on the weaker side.

These signings also make sense if the worst happens, this is a player who spent two seasons in Serie B recently, he's not going to not want to be around for a Championship campaign.

Fee is barely £2,000,000 on a 3 1/2 year deal so in terms of PSR it’s almost a free transfer.

Can we please get this set up as an auto response if anyone ever mentions that he was a “waste of money”?

£500k (plus agent fees & signing on fees) on the books each year for this season + the next 3.

Left winger.  RVN isn't satisfied with McAteer or Mavididi then.

Shouldn't be with McAteer. Guy is championship level at best.

Mavididi inconsistent so left winger is a priority. Like Justin, Mavididi seems to need some competition to keep him going. All too easy for players to get away with mediocrity because they don't have anyone battling for their position. So they know they'll carry on playing despite under-par performances.

Parma have an 80 page thread on him... need to fast forward the last few days posts.

From what I can gather, he's been an important player for them, good going forward, plays right/left back and midfield, has an error in him, and they blame the owners for allowing his contract to run down (but don't blame him for leaving for a better contract). Still has potential to improve and has pace and physicality. Enzo must've seen something in him so might do ok for us :fc:

I've seen similar reviews from Serie A fans in that he's a solid player who could do well in a league as fast and physical as the Premier League.

I'm quietly optimistic.
