This summer has to be the restart. Especially if we go down. There needs to be a complete reset of wage structure.

Get back to focussing on spending transfer fees on young players with potential sprinkled amongst experienced players with a point to prove.

The annoyance is how well we did that on the whole during Summer 23/24 and then started handing out contract extensions before setting off a summer of signing Bertrands led by Cooper. The best signing of the summer exactly fits that bill you describe.

they're looking to resolve 22/23, but 23/24 we're not in breach for

I’m not sure that’s been confirmed yet, has it?

Journos just saying that no charges have been brought - yet. Ziegler’s article seems to suggest that no charges can be brought for 23-24 until 22-23 has been concluded, which it hasn’t.

Has there been any other unequivocal announcement that we have not breached, rather than simply not been charged (yet)?

Can we now get back to calling all of our players shit, calling for our managers head and generally criticising everything about the club like proper fans do?

I've made my dis-satisfaction with the board on this loud throughout but if I was them I'd be going after Matt Hughes from the Guardian who released a story on 1st January, released at exactly 9pm (https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/jan/01/leicester-at-risk-of-another-premier-league-psr-charge-over-latest-accounts) which will have had very probable cause to affect our January transfer window. This started the alarm bells ringing and it's been proven false. It's as if maybe some other party might have informed this information to cause problems

Yep, appears that the PL have been stirring things deliberately (the journalist claims he got his info from PL sources), perhaps even using the likes of Maguire as outriders as they're trying to get back at us for winning on the 22/23 case. It's pathetic but effective. I like Maguire but I really think it's distasteful the way he's played up the PSR stuff and joked about it. I wonder if Brighton were in a similar situation (very unlikely given how well they're run), he'd be jovial so readily?

That comment in the Telegraph about the club feeling like they're being picked on makes more sense given how things have played out.

I really miss the fan cam and the t-shirt cannons. Not because i liked them, but because i really miss complaining about how shit they were.

Even though i actually use some of the t-shirts i got from the cannon.

Simon Jordan by the way, is so mad at the situation, he's now just shaking in his chair spouting things like "I hope Leicester get relegated" verbatim.

Why lol

I hated the Cannons but I loved being tall and using my advantage to catch the shirts, so little kids couldn't have them.

Not directly by the PL but the reports say no clubs have been charged for 23/24 so it's pretty clear.

That means the verdict on 23/24 is not connected to the pending arbitration of 22/23.

Ziegler's article includes the PL statement:

"no complaint has been brought against Leicester by the league for any breach of the PSRs for the period ending Season 2023-24."

that means we did not breach. there's no "can't bring charges until the previous one is resolved", they have to bring the complaint now when evaluating this set of accounts.

No charge but the comment says we did breach PSR. Elated that we've avoided it again but the club and its execs really need to set out how we deal with these two breaches and avoid it going forward.

if we go down its because we arent good enough as a club. The players, manager and the board. Its that simple.

We arent in a good place currently but we have stuck to the rules by the sounds of things.

The board is toxic and does need a shake up but its not going to happen - especially now.

We jsut need to support the 11 on the pitch rather than finding fault constantly.

Or you could argue that our season was derailed before a ball was kicked by Premier League incompetence. The club would've attracted a much better manager than Cooper in the summer if we didn't have that false charge with points deduction hanging over our heads. We've been playing catch-up ever since.

So why is the media saying we are still at risk?

Because they’ve got to have the final hoorah. They’re all just a bunch of tossers!

The PL and the EFL will be raging about this, they are absolutely desperate to do us. If we get relegated though, we know full well the EFL will try and destroy us.

We have not done anything wrong though so why should they be hell bent ?

So 23/24 is resolved? They’re not looking to resolve 22/23 and then come after us for 23/34?

This is where I'm remaining cautious of any celebration. I find 22/23 outcome highly unlikely to be overturned, I cannot believe they've appealed it as they'd have to prove 3 very senior lawyers got it wrong. But there's no clarity that we haven't breached 23/24 just that no charges have been yet. Or am I misunderstanding it?
