I'll be going for a long swim weighed down with bricks off the coast of skegness

With all the bricks you'll die of exhaustion in the mud way before finding the sea!

I would start him, he was pretty decent earlier in the season. Faes and Vesty together is a car crash.

Hope DB11 doesn't see this...

Director leading pursuit for Leicester City defender – Concrete interest, ready to seize opportunity
By Naveen Ullal - 11th April 2025

Bologna are keen on signing Leicester City’s Caleb Okoli in the summer window.

The centre-back left Atalanta to join the Foxes last summer and could return to Serie A next season.

That’s according to Tutto Atalanta, who cover Bologna’s interest in the Leicester player.

Sporting director Giovanni Sartori spent eight years with La Dea before joining Bologna in June 2022. He knows the defender well from his time at Atalanta and now sees him as an ideal profile for his current club.

Okoli played over 1,000 minutes from 17 Premier League games this season. He had lost his place in Leicester’s starting line-up after Ruud van Nistelrooy took charge in November.

Leicester are now 19th in the table and likely to be relegated. Bologna can take advantage of the 23-year-old and the club’s situation and Sartori is ready to seize the opportunity to sign him.

Okoli would fit perfectly into Bologna’s strategy of signing young but experienced players. His contract lasts until 2029, and the Italian club have to negotiate with Leicester for an agreement.

The English club’s stance on sanctioning Okoli’s move is unclear, but what’s certain is that Bologna have a concrete interest in him.

Saudi 😂😂😂😂😂

I suspect they'd be truly baffled by his 300mph waffle he comes out with.

The Saudis will get Coady on every podcast going to get him to say how nice it is. Would be worth his weight in gold to them.

We simply need to block all Italian internet service providers and ips in transfer windows, they do not send serious bids and only want to trade in pasta.

I've liked him from day one, he has everything to be a quilty player for us, needs confidence though,

Hopefully that goal and solid season in the Championship will give him just that.

You saying he's a bit soft and you'd like him to keep you warm at night?

Keep him unless we get a big cash upfront offer, him and Nelson together could be a superb partnership whilst Souttar recovers from his torn Achilles

I like him. He's raw and is going to make mistakes, but he's keen and enthusiastic and it's nice to have a big man at the back who can head the ball. (Jannik, I'm looking at you).

Can see us selling him to a mid table premier league outfit if he keeps on performing till the rest of the season has all the hallmarks of Fulham /Brentford signing him

I think if we want to get promoted we need to hold someone like Okoli, El Khannous, Mavi, Fatawu and focus on selling/releasing some of the more senior internationals we have: Hermansen, Faes, Vestergaard, Ndidi, Ward, Kristiansen, Daka.

Good example of this happening is Gnonto at Leeds who was in the Italy squad when they went down and stayed at Leeds for the promo push. Same with Rutter for one season.

no reason to get rid of him, he should be a monster in the championship under a settled partnership. If we sell him then it’s absolutely pointless investing in younger players if you boot them out after 1 season.

I would like him to stay but the fact he's had a taste of being in the Italy squad makes it seem pretty unlikely.

Wilfried Gnonto is in his second season in the championship, so he may well stay if he's going to get game time.

Gnonto who went on strike and become the most hated man in Leeds before eventually having to stay? 😂

Ideally. Okoli and Bilal go on loan for a season them come back to us if we get promoted.

theres very little room to financially benefit from selling them considering how PSR works. They’ve both played for a relegated team so it’s highly unlikely they’ll increase in value so we might not even break even if we sold them..

laugh this off, if we arent selling McAteer for 8 million, we arent selling Okoli to Bologna who's best offer would probably consist of £20 down payment with monthly installments of £4.99

Ideally not - ideally they stay and be part of the future imo - a season in the champs would not hurt their development

Why is the ideal not that they stay and get us promoted out of interest?

Bilal was at times the only bright spark on our team, I’d be highly surprised if he wants to play in the champ… I think our best hope of keeping his is to let him play in the prem whilst still retaining ownership
