Fair enough and often correct.  However,  say for example an opposition player lunged in two footed and got sent off - his brain fart would arguably not really have been influenced by anyone else so, in that instance, it's hard to create that piece of luck.

True, but for that to happen we would have to be frustrating the opponent. We don’t, we basically cling on until they eventually score. We’re so passive and so easy to play against. Only Vardy, Bilal and Facundo show an ounce of passion.

Any opposition manager would be telling their players that we are dog shite so there's no point doing anything silly or making hard tackles because as long as they have 11 men on the pitch they will score against us through our calamity defending or non-existent midfield protection

Our current mess is actually all Castagne's fault.

If only he had slightly mis-hit that volley in injury time up at Newcastle 2 years ago, we would've won that match, not been relegated, not had to sell our better players for knock-down prices, etc etc ...........................................

In yet I’d have driven him to Fulham myself.

Plenty of managers in the world tell their players not to do anything silly. Still happens. The human brain and all that.

Plenty of luck in the only wins we have this season

We all know we are crap. We've had some bad luck too in  some matches we've drawn (e.g. Palace away) and lost and that's not  excusing the overall bad play. We could do with some more then. Maybe we are due some going forward.

Clutching at straws but when was the last time we had a bit of luck? Like an underhit back pass, a sending off or a soft penalty in our favour. We need the monks.

You have to make your own luck. We don’t put the opposition under enough pressure to force them into mistakes.

I get what you mean but I'm (in a light hearted way) trying to say we could do with some proper luck as in the  dictionary definition: 'success or failure brought by chance rather than through one's own actions'. Like Cantona's kung fu kick back in the 90s!

Anywhere else on the pitch and it’s a foul. Anderson knew what he was doing

When Soumare was on the deck Andersen gave Soumare  a load of verbals - maybe telling him he'd cheated. Soumare just got up and jogged off. Wish he'd have got in Andersen's face and gave him some back. Too nice. We could do with the spirit of Walsh, Taggs, Alan Young, Mauchlen, Speedie, Elliott (probably some I've missed). Don't know how long they'd stay on the pitch nowadays though.

Watch it again, but only watch Anderson.

Done. I've not changed my mind. Soumare literally starts falling as soon as they come into contact, he knows exactly what he's doing lol

I do agree it would likely have been given outside the box. That's not to say I think it's a foul, I just know how rubbish refs are.

I’ve just watched the Sky short highlights on YouTube ( just because I love pain) to see how the 2 goals were gifted away again, and they showed more chances for us than them - so angry we didn’t get a point  from that game  and how on earth is the block on Soumare not a foul!!? No intention of playing the ball, he knew he couldn’t get to it , didn’t know if any other defender could- just crap. Didn’t the same player do a similar full on barge on elk in the first half? Ref useless .
I agree with people annoyed at Vesty for not anticipating for their 1st , and Mav for gawping for second.  Ruud must be so peed off.

I forgot to say in all the anger immediately afterwards, but I remember Castagne doing a lap and applauding afterwards - fair play. Always liked him and nice to see him doing that.

He was a good consistent performer and compare him to what we have now at full back…

Yeah, I always liked his game.

Mavadidi just couldn't get past him.

Would have been magic if that OG went in during the 1st half, and would love us to have sung 'he plays on the left, he plays on the right......'

We should've lost at both Southampton and Ipswich and only didn't because of lucky officiating. Lose both of those two we currently sit on 10 points, 1 ahead of Southampton.

We've not put in a good 90 minutes in a single one of our 22 games. Not a single one.

Take the two best players out of any team and it’s going to affect their performance. Especially a team trying to stay up, with a limited squad.
We’ve been unlucky with injuries again this season. I guess that must be Rudkin’s fault too?

Only just rewatched the goals. So poor this time probably the left back rather than right back.

Other teams might have got something when Soumare went into the box, but clutching at straws and deserved nothing.
