LCFCCHRIS Posted 18 August 2025 Posted 18 August 2025 3 or 4 potential hidden gem “punts” in the key positions. need new blood desperately. If we get 4 in for 1-2m a piece on low wages, it’s still so low risk compared to a high wages Skipp or similar shit 1
kingfox Posted 18 August 2025 Posted 18 August 2025 Sheff Utd dipping into the Scandinavian market, time we did the same, go get Zeneli or Rosengren. 1

With the way their playing out from the back has looked so far this season, I can see why they’d want Zatterstrom. Of Scandinavian centre backs though, Eivind Helland at Brann is worth keeping tabs on 👍🏻 1

enmac Posted 18 August 2025 Posted 18 August 2025 I'm convinced that we're not signing anybody. Nothing. Not even a rumour, is there? 1
FosseSpark Posted 18 August 2025 Posted 18 August 2025 Of our previous loanees i would take Under, Akgun, Casadei and Doyle back in a heartbeat! 2
Levi Port Posted 18 August 2025 Posted 18 August 2025 (edited) Do we have any idea how much more we need to recoup before we can actually sanction a signing ? Evidently we’re so tight with FPP, paid little compo for Marti and he’s on nominal wages, less than he was on at QPR. We’ve made around about 50 million from sales and wage savings without the addition of parachute payments. I would have thought we would be ok by now but evidently not Edited 19 August 2025 by Levi Port 1
Ric Flair Posted 18 August 2025 Posted 18 August 2025 Shim Mhueka on loan from Chelsea, devastating at U21 level 1
jv1 Posted 18 August 2025 Posted 18 August 2025 Anyone that can score a goal Ayew, Fatawu, mav , daka , bek work get 10 each - god knows how we win games with nobody who knows how to score
Jazzy_Jeff Posted 19 August 2025 Posted 19 August 2025 A lot is the only answer. Regardless of the positions that we sign whoever comes in needs the right mindset. We are soft as 5hit so need some muscle and balls in this team. We've lost Vardy who whilst his legs weren’t what they were still had the non-league mindset of being up for every game. Whilst Coady and Ndidi hadn’t perhaps delivered on the pitch, they were still big characters and we haven’t replaced them. Going to be a big ask but feel like we need to ship Faes, JJ, Winks, Soumare and Daka out and bring in a centre back, 2 x CM’s, 2 x CF’s and a direct replacement for BEK assuming he goes too. Lots to get done.

CosbehFox Posted 19 August 2025 Posted 19 August 2025 Andy Irving, a perfectly serviceable CM at West Ham available for approx £3m. Would do a job, sort of under radar pick up we badly need. 1

We had to achieve £72 m in transfers last year to fund a spending spree last time in the EFL, that supposedly led to a £1.5m PSR profit. It's really hamstrung on how big the losses were last year. My very rough maths (without considering amortisation) said we need to reduce our losses by approx 30% to comply on the last period and as it stands now we would still need to sell another player by £15m approx to achieve PSR compliance. 2
LCFCCHRIS Posted 19 August 2025 Posted 19 August 2025 Genuinely think I’d take Amartey back at this point 1
Gav_LCFC14 Posted 19 August 2025 Posted 19 August 2025 We’re stuck in a cycle where Rudkin leaves everything to the last week and panics out of desperation, ending up with bargain-bin players at three times the price. It’s a never-ending downward spiral with these muppets 1

Yes it’s been reported that he’s looking for investment but both things can be true. I think the fact there has been no change at the top shows their desire to get us back, and stubbornness for themselves to be the ones to do so to remedy their own bruised ego’s. Top and Rudkin have navigated PSR horrendously and have made a comical amount of terrible decision and continue to do so and change could not be more overdue. This club is so toxic, we the fans and some of the players are losing our rags at anything and everything now, tension is so high. Barring a dramatic and consistent long term change in our fortunes on the pitch, ( promotion and survival) that toxicity is going nowhere, will get worse, and will drag us further down.   Sorry for the rant, but ultimately I do think once PSR allowed us to spend, we will.

That said Ox is so injury prone, not sure he's the one or if any are the one.
