I think it’s too early in his development to be a regular rotational player personally. Just didn’t look ready for senior football yet as far as I’m concerned. As a 5th choice I agree, but in the championship and with the system we use, you need 4 wingers who are dangerous and consistent.

I think with Fatawu, Mavididi, Monga, Alves, Bobby and Ayew being here the club should focus on 6,8/10 and a 9. 3

I forgot about BDCR yeah he will most likely replace Kasey sadly. I’ll be honest we need to find a way of moving Soumare on then get one in all 4 of the positions you’ve stated. 1
kingfox Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 Cifuentes like Maresca likes his wingers to have 1 vs 1 ability. Jury is still out on Alves in that regard and it’s not Ayew or BDCR biggest strength either. It wouldn’t surprise me if someone like Tounekti at Hammarby comes in for £2-3 million.
Popular Post Bluearmyfox28 Posted 22 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 22 August 2025 When you actually sit back and think of the squad we have and Marti not wanting a big squad, I think we will only bring in 3 players. A box to box midfielder, Bilal’s replacement & a new striker. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Josh Brownhill, Joao Rego and Ivanovic. With the latter costing £10m and the other two costing nothing for this season. I wouldn’t be surprised if we sell Bilal £32m, JJ £7m and Hamza for £5m. That’ll leave us with raising £84m (book value profit of £63m) and transfer expenditure of £10m. Complete PSR reset year. Squad: GK - Jakub, Begovic, Bausor RB - Ricky, Woyo, Aluko CB - Okoli, Vesty, Faes, Nelson LB - Thomas, VK, Aluko CDM - Soumare, Winks CM - Brownhill, Skipp, Page CAM - Rego, Ayew, Alves, Page RW - Abdul, BDCR, Evans ST - Ivanovic, Ayew, Daka LW - Stephy, Monga, Alves That’s a squad size of 27 players with 5 of them being fringe players from the academy. 7
AKCJ Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 IMO we're desperate for a striker and a midfield. I'm also not comfortable with our depth at fullback. I think that we're 3/4 players away from being a side that could challenge for promotion but right now there are too many shite players starting each game.
fox_up_north Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 We defo aren't challenging for promotion this year. Maaaaybe top 6. Maybe. But I reckon we'll be down here 2 years minimum.
MaidstoneFox Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 Nobody signed yet apart from the necessity of Begovic, while most other clubs doing lots of business. I know we need to get players out the door, but we also need a refresh, with players coming in. The clock is ticking....
lcfc sheff Posted 22 August 2025 Author Posted 22 August 2025 Deadline day is going to be pure chaos isn’t it?

foxy boxing Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 At the rate we a selling at the moment it looks like we're going to need a hell of lot of players and fresh blood. Does anyone really trust Rudkin to get in the players we need!.

Swarles Barkley Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 Remember when we signed Waghorn. That is the last time I remember being excited after the deadline day 1

LVFox Posted 23 August 2025 Posted 23 August 2025 Fredrik Hammar. We desperately need some fight in midfield.
markko Posted 23 August 2025 Posted 23 August 2025 Please Jon move Daka on. When he came in I thought okay you have 30 minutes. Let's see what you have got. He did make some decent runs but was not played in. When the ball was played to him his control and strength were so poor. Not only was he not a threat he actually put us under pressure as nothing stuck. People slate Ayew but Daka could do worse than to watch him battle for scraps. Get his wages off the books. I doubt he will command a fee. 1
Steve Earle Posted 23 August 2025 Posted 23 August 2025 If Thomas is our best left back then we need a better one. 2
Jobyfox Posted 23 August 2025 Posted 23 August 2025 (edited) I was thinking today that we’ve been so hamstrung by our last transfer window activity. We needed to buy young players, capable of playing in the PL or top end Championship, that had some resale value if it all went wrong. Instead we bought the likes of Ayew, BDCR, Skipp and Coulibaly for not insignificant sums. We’d actually have been better off signing nobody than that list of players. Now we have no money left and a bunch of players who are incapable of being the difference in this league, costing us too much money and are not saleable (BEK excepted) enough to bring in the revenues we need Edited 23 August 2025 by Jobyfox

We desperately need energy in all positions. Kosugi (LB), Hammar (DM), Breum (AM), Ivanovic (CF) is a massively unrealistic list of incomings, but would be the perfect one for me. 3
Foxes96 Posted 23 August 2025 Posted 23 August 2025 Hope we go for x2 box to box 8’s when Bilal inevitably leaves. Don’t need two sitters and a 10. Soumaré, Winks or Skipp can play the sitter. Just need two starters ahead of them. Billing looking for a move seems an obvious one, as long as wages are reasonable. 1
JimJams Posted 23 August 2025 Posted 23 August 2025 Napoli already had a loan bid rejected by B'mouth. Can't see us being too desirable if Serie A sides are after him. And I wouldn't be keen on a permanent move for him at his age and stage of career. Agree in 2 8's though. I'd have 3!
LFox99 Posted 23 August 2025 Posted 23 August 2025 Don't see us signing more than one, two players at most. We'll bank the cash and pray we get through the year with what we have. It'll genuinely be Daka and Ayew up top all season long
