Has no journalist actually asked him if he sees us making signings? Seems to have been skipped completely ?

Probably not much point. Unless something is imminent, in which case we'll probably know about it already, the answer they get will likely boil down to yes we're working to get players in, there's time left in the window but if we can't then we'll work with what we've got.

I am concerned with how little we've done, the squad is looking very thin on the ground.

If you consider the players left who don't seem to want to be here, VK, Faes, Winks (possibly Daka) and Bilal it looks threadbare in terms of players who actually give a toss.

We need three in minimum and four ideally but that probably means shifting another couple at least.  Just cannot see that falling into place before the window closes.

Chilwell or Luke Thomas? :wes:

Ah shit, I didn't realise they were the only options.

In that case.....

Chilwell being linked with Coventry, bring him home and give him a fresh start

As long as he or Chelsea are happy to forgo/cover 70% if his wages.

We need Stefano Sensi. Another lucky escape (for both parties).

He's a free agent now.

Probably still a bit expensive!!!

I wouldn't underestimate the impact 3 or 4 new additions could have, regardless of who/what they are.

We've had one new player at the club since last summer. A real rarity these days!

The impact a few players who haven't been scarred by a horrific relegation and two dog shit managers can have could be incredible.

If Bilal and Abdul are still here, that will be massive. (big if the next 6 days)

We deffo need a striker and a CM. Maybe a Left back too.

and a CB if Faes can get shifted

Don't think we'd need one if Faes goes.

Vesty and Okoli currently seem first choice. So you've got Nelson off the bench. And after that Aluko played there preseason and you could even use Hamza if it got that bad.

With Souttar on course to start on grass in October, he might be ready to bring into the fold around the turn of the year and we can reassess then when the window reopens.

Mbemba is free but seems he wants a gargantuan wage, so I'd rule that out at this stage.

At this point anyone who thinks we're signing anyone before deadline day needs their head checking.

It's obvious we're clearing out as much as possible, trying to get rid of wages and balancing the books.

This season's a write off, anything that happens beyond avoiding relegation is a bonus. We're going to contest it with what we've got left + the youth.

I don't disagree but there must be a tipping point where we can start replacing what we are selling.

I think we can lose Faas and Kristenson without a direct replacement but we still need a striker. Also if Winks goes he will need replacing with a cm. I also think El Khannouss will need replacing if he departs.

I'm hoping we are selling enough that we don't need to sell El Khannouss. Marti said we want to keep our best players. If he is desperate to leave (I imagine he is) but we are stronger financially we can hold out for the right fee.

I'd love to see a leader come. A nasty one. Someone horrible to play against.

Yep, he is the one. Very similar numbers defensively to what Ndidi gave us, but with far better passing ability. GERRIMIN!

People would lose their zhit if they saw this guy playing in front of Vestergaard lol

The odd loan wouldn't shock me.
