Club have sent out an email to invite supporters to attend a forum to discuss improvements to the scheme.

Im interested in people’s opinions on here on what they believe would improve the system?

I have heard of supporters buying and selling away tickets on regardless of if they are going to go to the game or not, to maintain their higher points to ensure they get access to high priority fixtures.

What’s everyone’s thoughts?

HELP SHAPE THE FUTURE OF THE PRIORITY POINTS SCHEME AT ‘YOUR 90 MINUTES’

Dear supporter,

We'd like to invite you to our next 'Your 90 Minutes' fan forum on Thursday 6 February, which will give supporters the opportunity to discuss the Club's Priority Points Scheme, which dictates when home and away Leicester City fixtures are made available to supporters to purchase.

During the session, we'd like to hear your thoughts about what works well in the Priority Points Scheme and what could be improved, as well as your ideas for the scheme's future.

'Your 90 Minutes' sessions give supporters the chance to provide feedback directly to the Fan Engagement Team in an informal setting, as part of the Fan Engagement Framework. All discussions are reported back to the Fan Advisory Board to inform decision-making.

To secure your place at the session on Thursday 6 February, which begins at 6:30pm, please click on the buttons below no later than Monday 3 February. You can join the session online via Teams or attend in person at King Power Stadium. Those attending in person are invited to arrive at the stadium from 6pm, where light refreshments will be available ahead of the 6:30pm start.

Do we need a priority system if we keep up current form. The ground will be half empty and they'll be pleading with people to buy tickets

No idea what the answer is to this but if there’s an opportunity to potentially get new blood in that would be more than welcome. Our away ends are as stale as the club.

And charge more for the privilege...

Scrap the huge chunks awarded for renewing season tickets - away priority points should be for attending away games.

Build up should be over a maximum of 5 seasons

Schedule multiple higher priority windows across the same day ie 8am and 2pm like has been done with the lower brackets

Oh and also ban outright all under 16s and over 75s from all away games, mandatory dress code of no colours allowed and camera monitoring at all away games - anyone caught not singing banned for life.

Simples.

We should look at what other clubs are doing. Forest villa Leeds derby etc have completely demographics to ours and it doesn’t really make sense. Although I heard a rumour the club reserve seats for certain fans which wouldn’t surprise me.

Our free fall will probably reset the current system anyway.

It doesn’t but

people still obsessively buy to keep their points up and still trade them on

More or less, just devote less of the allocation to away point priority holders. It's not a god given right to go to away games..tbh, it might do some of them good to miss a match once in a while.

So, say, limit 60% of any allocation to the priority scheme..

The remaining 40% goes straight to a free for all;

all priorities

All STs

members with purchase history.

Freshen up the gene pool a bit. That's it.

I thought it was unfair that a ST holder could not renew when we got relegated, but could then go into the ballot with their prior points after we got promoted, therefore naturally having a higher points total than fans after a ST that went to every game in the Championship.
Perhaps if you don’t renew, take away half the points.

This is pertaining to away matches

1) There needs to be a change in the points you get for the season ticket vs what you get for a match. For example, a season ticket could be worth 10 points, rather than 50.

2) Less desirable games (distance, or time, or opposition) could gain more points per match than standard. Maybe following the category pricing that is currentky applied to home games. For example, standard away point is one, but away at Sunderland on a Tuesday night might be 4!

3) There should be a time limit to how long points last. For example, season tickets or games attended more than 10 years a go, you get zero points.

4) Points for season tickets or games should depreciate over time. For example, if the overall time limit is 10 years, points should fall by 1/10 per year. So, 10 standard one point games attended 10 seasons ago, would now be worth 1 point. 10 games attended last season would now be worth 9 points. It reduces the impact of attending long ago whilst still respecting that someone did.

5) there should be a provision of tickets so that parents can buy tickets for children who will usually, due to age, have a much lower number of priority points. This would mean families can attend away matches together more easily.

Thanks.

Reduce the number of points for a ST and only award them on a 3/4 yr rolling basis

100%. I am fortunate enough to have a very high amount of points, but I also know people who have barely bothered with aways over the past few seasons yet still find themselves in the top bracket. The system has to allow for people to move up and down, and currently it's incredibly difficult. Surely even the biggest beneficiaries of this system can see that it is all a bit of a sham.

Also feel that those in the lower groups (all STH/members) should have more opportunity than they currently do (maybe a larger ballot?). Not sure how we go about that other than being absolutely shocking and nobody wanting to watch us though...

This is QPR's current away ticket rules this season:

IMPORTANT TICKETING INFORMATION: Following consultation with our Supporters’ Consultation Committee, the following method is now adopted for away ticket sales:
20% of each away ticket allocation held back to be sold on general sale
Loyalty Point windows still used for away ticket sales prior to general sale period
General sale tickets become available when the Loyalty Points window closes or the first 80% of tickets sell out
Supporters registered on the away tickets scheme not affected by the above and have their away tickets processed as normal

Too sensible.   Would never happen here.

Probably something i’ve put across strongly over here over the years, so will definitely be attending. Although we already know nothing we put forward will be listened to and the scheme will probably never change.

This will be a controversial opinion however I think having a season ticket for a long period should count for more priority points.

I have had a season ticket for around 20 years and been to very few away games due to the fact that my family who I go with don't really have the time to travel to them and growing up obviously couldn't go on my own.

I'm now in a position where I am old enough and financially secure enough and have enough free time to go to them but because they only take the last three years into account away tickets are 95 % of the time sold out before I can buy them.

It just makes it next to impossible for people to start going to away games

the boost that season tickets have is exactly why you can't start going to away games though. Let's say you were a member last season, did all 23 away league games, plus Bournemouth and Tranmere. You get a season ticket this year and a season ticket holder from last year who didn't go to a single away game still gets 25 points further ahead of you.

They would have already decided what they want to do and this will just be to tick a box. Same as everything else.

It's this ****ing easy. A monkey could have come up with this idea several years ago. Sadly, the club is run by a bunch of clowns in every respect.
