Heard on BBC that one of the ATC staff might have been doing the job of two people.

So not diverse enough then?

... can anyone think of any situation where Trump or one of his lackeys has actually admitted fault or apologised for anything?

Never apologise, never explain, never admit fault, always deflect, always blame something else.

It's incredibly corrosive - not just morally but because of the practical cost, too. As Valery Legasov said, "every lie we tell incurs a debt to the truth. Sooner or later, that debt is paid."

Trump would never admit to being wrong, but that's also the case of the Office of President anyway. They have either been mis-advised or the facts at that time were different. Someone will carry the can.

It's all about protecting the integrity of that Office, and indeed Offices of State in other countries employ the same tactics.

As for Trump himself, I am surprised you bothered to ask the question. You could have just cut that out and made your statement as there is nothing wrong in it.

Yeah, that was my working hypothesis, but I asked really in the thought of being proven wrong.

That level of ego and lack of humility and empathy in high office are not good qualities.

Honestly hope you're having a laugh there, ser.

Sadly I'm almost certain Trump and his backers are 100% serious on a variety of detrimental changes.

... when the current PM looks to make political capital the day after the death of 60+ people in a mass casualty incident by blaming his political opposition with no evidence, let me know.

Also, let me know when he's been convicted of a felony.

Seen the new video for the DC air crash.

Extraordinary. It's difficult to compute how the helicopter couldn't see the plane..

As some of the x comments put it,.you could swerve an old car out the way it was that obvious. Let alone versatile high end military tech..

I find foul play hard to believe. I'm.wondering if it may be some military gung ho attitude. Part of that culture. Wouldn't be the first time service personnel have shown off in an aircraft and come undone.

I'll take that on faith, but I think the above couple of additional points do also stand.

Trump seems to be blaming people with disabilities.

Someone here wouldn’t get away with saying that probably.

A while ago, I would have believed that to be true.

Now that a party that shares pretty much the entire Trump policy platform is polling at a level pretty much equivalent to the Tories and Labour in the UK, I'm not so sure.

The problem is, in their haste to accuse Trump of being crass and distasteful in the aftermath of a deeply sad incident - those pointing the figure are doing exactly the same.

It feels to me more emphasis needs to be made of the freedom to remain silent - because if everyone speaks, no one has a clue what’s going on.

Maybe would have just been best for both sides to wait to see what the investigation finds ?

I know it doesn’t work like that now .
