Funny isn’t it. Because Everton as outright people have come across as the best I’ve ever met.

That’s before we get onto things like them actively sell their tickets to Leicester fans for the trophy lift

Yeah, they are a contradictory lot. Absolute Scouse filth many of them. The hair, the moustache. The shell suits. The casual thieving.

But I like them. Honour amongst thieves maybe. They are last of a breed, proper football people.

Everton apparently only have 15 first team players fully fit?

This comment gave me flashbacks to the 2016/17 opening day fixture at Hull when they apparently had like 11 senior fit players available.

What a day that was.

Well this one's caught the imagination - No update for 12 hours.

I'm looking forward to it but fearful as to which Leicester will turn up.

They've got injuries and we really should be up for it but I've thought that more than once and been totally wrong.

I'd like to see the same team except Facundo for Ayew with Ayew now solely used as an impact player. Madds to come in too which is tough on Jakub but Madds is class.

                          Madds

 James    Faes   Vestergaard    Kristiansen

                   Soumare    Winks

                       El Khannouss

Buonanotte                               De Cordova-Reid

                           Vardy

Yeah, wouldn't grumble at any of that.

Ordinarily i'd take a draw but having dropped points the way we have, against the teams we have, its made games like these a must win really. A Point does hardly anything to move us towards safety, and there's much harder teams than Everton coming up.

Unchanged. with the possible exception of Hermansen for Stola and if Van N thinks Coulibaly should come in for Justin.

Could be

Hermansen

Coulibaly Faes Vestergaard Krist

Winks Soumare

Ayew Khannous BDR

Vardy

Yep. I’m just glad that DW doesn’t appear to be in the conversation anymore.

JS is good, MH is very good, DI is poor at this level and DW shouldn’t be a professional goalkeeper

With Mads back in contention now it seems and with Jakub as assumed back up again now (and possibly our FAC keeper if Mads stays the course), then with Iversen as the other reserve then that is effectively the only position in which we don't need to strengthen in thsi window! As you say though then it's good that Ward has dropped out of any contention of match day inclusion now!!

Lost 7 in a row. Win at Spurs, draw at Everton would be a big chunk of momentum. Everton's ability to grind out draws is exactly why they're above us. Sure, we need wins at some point, but we shouldn't turn our noses up at some hard fought draws

Everton are definitely a better side under Moyes but they still create absolutely nothing going forward. 0.1 open play xG against Brighton. I imagine it'll be similar against us and could certainly see one goal being enough to win this one.

Perfectly set up for Doucoure…hasn’t scored yet this season either.

yes they have injuries but have a solid defence and and that Ndiaye is some player, he can completely run the show if we aren't careful

1-0 Everton - Ndiaye goalscorer. Putting it in here so that means it won't happen

Does that actually work?! If so:

2-0 Everton

2-1 Everton

3-0 Everton

3-1 Everton

3-2 Everton

4-0 Everton

4-1 Everton

4-2 Everton

4-3 Everton

Should I carry on....?

5-0 Everton it is.

We've got Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City, Newcastle & Liverpool before the middle of April.

Any momentum would be short lived. We need maximum points out of games like this. I'm all for hard fought points against the top teams, but not Everton.

Only my opinion, of course, but I'd be disappointed with a point. We need to be putting pressure on the teams above us, a point will do fvck all.

Out of interest,  we're just about half way through the season now, if we can't expect a win against teams like Everton, then who would you expect us to beat (besides Southampton)?

Not an argument by the way, just curious where people expect us to pick up wins when we're settling for draws against the likes of an injury struck Everton team?
