Think as others have said this’ll be for the RW, need someone fast who can chip

in defensively and stick to the wing in attack which would suit him, wouldn’t be furious

Here's his injury record:

An amazing player on his day of course, see his wonderful goal against us earlier in the season.

12 entrys doesn't make it look good BUT is the hamstring issue the same 1, looks like they just about run consecutively until after the rest period they decide lets operate as that then shows a long layoff, he then doesn't have a recorded hamstring injury after that, so hopefully that is cleared.
That accounts for 5 of the 12 entries & there's 1 entry of illness could be a anything a cold/covid so 6. Looking at the 2 other bigger abscences the 1 marked unknown was a 3 week hip injury & the knee injury maybe a meniscus tear as not long enough for anything major.

I think due to his age as in still growing especially 20/21-21/22 seasons & that he is an explosive player he will be subject to hamstring/muscle injuries but most f those are for what 2-3 week periods.

He's back playing now only missing out on the matchday squad 5 of the 23 games so his fitness must be up there, he's played 9 times this season (8 in the last 11 games) with 5 starts & has managed 4 goal involvements, not a bad return i'd say.

He can play both sides as FB or Winger & probably edges our current options in all 4 positions, subject to seeing more of Woyo, so it does make an for an interesting rumour, i'd risk it.

There's a reason Brighton are willing to let him go.

Let's not continue to be dumb...please? PLZZZZZZZ

Someone pulled this out when we signed Winks. Took him 18 months to miss a game.

I think this would be a very tidy addition. A tint of risk, but worth taking.

if he plays just 15 games in the championship, you win all 15.

Seems very strange for me now we know Ricky is on his way back and we've signed Woyo. Not at all what I'm expecting us to be going for before the month end. Get a bloody CB in and a winger.

Might be in the minority here, but I don’t think Ricardo was the player he once was

He probably isn't, but my point was more that if he's back, we've got him, Woyo, JJ, Kristiansen and Thomas. 5 options, a silly number of options, no matter how good you may think they are. We need central defenders or get Thomas out the door but can't see it.

JJ is getting injured anyday now, Ricardo will very likely suffer a setback along the way, and Thomas needs to leave.

Don't disagree with any of this but it's all conjecture at this point because it's none of the above has happened and Lamptey is also made of glass.

To be fair, there are rumours about Thomas being on the way out (club is secretive and this could be more advanced than we think), and they know how Ricardo's recovery is going and also if he is likely to be moving on next season as well.

Club is also well aware that JJ is under performing and a massive injury risk.

I'm well up for this. Think he's a great player.

Ordinarily based on his injury history it's a swerve but with his contract situation the risk is worth it, providing we don't stick him on silly wages.

So welcome, Tariq #2030, £95,000 pw.

Winks seemingly was before we signed him. He’s had his injury operated on, which should hopefully mean his time on the table is limited. If we can negotiate a reasonable price for him, it’s worth the risk in my opinion.

Maybe we've agreed to get rid of more than just Thomas?

Lamptey fits the mould of the type of fullback (wingback basically) that RvN wants for his preffered system, which I was hoping he'd shelved for now.  Don't think we have the CB's or DM to support it still.

Could also be looking at a quick flip if we can get a good price.

Would absolutely take him, but we have Woyo now and I was astonished by his injury record.
