Popular Post Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 28 January 2025 Popular Post Posted 28 January 2025 Have long said we need more height in the team, this guy fits the bill 5
JayT - Always A Fox! Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 In all seriousness I think he’s got great potential, he’s never fit though so should be great for us 😂 He’s worth the gamble though if we’re loosing Thomas. 1
filbertway Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 There's a reason Brighton are willing to let him go. Let's not continue to be dumb...please? PLZZZZZZZ
LCFCCKEANO Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 Think as others have said this’ll be for the RW, need someone fast who can chip in defensively and stick to the wing in attack which would suit him, wouldn’t be furious

That accounts for 5 of the 12 entries & there's 1 entry of illness could be a anything a cold/covid so 6. Looking at the 2 other bigger abscences the 1 marked unknown was a 3 week hip injury & the knee injury maybe a meniscus tear as not long enough for anything major. I think due to his age as in still growing especially 20/21-21/22 seasons & that he is an explosive player he will be subject to hamstring/muscle injuries but most f those are for what 2-3 week periods. He's back playing now only missing out on the matchday squad 5 of the 23 games so his fitness must be up there, he's played 9 times this season (8 in the last 11 games) with 5 starts & has managed 4 goal involvements, not a bad return i'd say. He can play both sides as FB or Winger & probably edges our current options in all 4 positions, subject to seeing more of Woyo, so it does make an for an interesting rumour, i'd risk it. 4
Pliskin Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 This is the type of signing the likes of Forest would make and he would be mint. 3

Lambert09 Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 I think this would be a very tidy addition. A tint of risk, but worth taking. if he plays just 15 games in the championship, you win all 15. 1

Not at all what I'm expecting us to be going for before the month end. Get a bloody CB in and a winger. Might be in the minority here, but I don’t think Ricardo was the player he once was 1

We need central defenders or get Thomas out the door but can't see it.

Don't disagree with any of this but it's all conjecture at this point because it's none of the above has happened and Lamptey is also made of glass.

To be fair, there are rumours about Thomas being on the way out (club is secretive and this could be more advanced than we think), and they know how Ricardo's recovery is going and also if he is likely to be moving on next season as well. Club is also well aware that JJ is under performing and a massive injury risk. I'm well up for this. Think he's a great player. 1
Stadt Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 Ordinarily based on his injury history it's a swerve but with his contract situation the risk is worth it, providing we don't stick him on silly wages. So welcome, Tariq #2030, £95,000 pw.

Winks seemingly was before we signed him. He’s had his injury operated on, which should hopefully mean his time on the table is limited. If we can negotiate a reasonable price for him, it’s worth the risk in my opinion.
Kp1984 Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 Forgive me if this has been mentioned but wasn’t he the one who put one top bins against us in the 2-2 draw at the KP? 1
JimJams Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 Maybe we've agreed to get rid of more than just Thomas? Lamptey fits the mould of the type of fullback (wingback basically) that RvN wants for his preffered system, which I was hoping he'd shelved for now. Don't think we have the CB's or DM to support it still. Could also be looking at a quick flip if we can get a good price.
Ric Flair Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 Makes absolutely no sense unless we're moving one of Justin or Ricardo on. 1

Phenom Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 Why would he even want to join? He’s about to get a better contract this summer from a team better than Brighton.
JimJams Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 Is he? I agree he won't want to come here. But who wants him?
Tuna Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 Would absolutely take him, but we have Woyo now and I was astonished by his injury record.
