Why ain’t we signing any players

Doing my head in looking on this forum everyday and seeing no new signing's,as a club have we gave in to the fact that we’re getting relegated??

My worry is that they think because we beat a depleted Spurs side that we’ll be fine and don’t need anyone. Which is completely wrong.

- Historic mismanagement means our ability to spend on transfers and wages is limited

- Squad is hampered by deadwood and poor loans we can’t cancel

- PSR restricts our spending and means deadwood is harder to shift, without it going down as a loss

- Recruitment ‘system’ struggles to identify players 

- As a relegation threatened team that’s clearly poorly managed off the pitch, we’re not a massively attractive destination

This will not be looking in the right places and will be waiting to see what their agents bring them. But also we beat Tottenham and this will make them sit back and be calm about it. It’s a worrying thought but could a battering have been better for us ling term haha. 😝

Money is tight and I imagine we may need to wait until close to the deadline for either players to become affordable, or players to decide they want to join us.

Add in that good players are not actually available in this window unless stupid money is thrown at them.

 

It's not just us who have this every January. Personally I'd like to see the window scrapped for all but loans, it's largely pointless.
