  1. 1. Should Ruud be sacked?

Think we can get that through Sean Dyche.

Why would he come to us? Nothing about this squad and set up fits with his style. What deal do we offer him anyway?

We are in the much weaker position when searching for a new manager.

Absolutely not. Everton were down in this muck until they got rid of him. They scored 9 goals from our last game against them until Dyche was sacked (14 games). 4 of those coming in one game against Wolves. They've now scored 8 in their last 4.

Ruud already looks like hes had enough, players arent good enough, they dont look interested, no signings, so i can imagine he must feel like whats the point.

I really think it's pointless to sack him if the intention is to stay up.  There are two big problems:

1. It doesn't matter who the manager is, the players are the same.  The talent in the squad is a bigger issue than the quality of the manager.

2. If RVN does go, it's extremely difficult to see who would come in to replace him who would be any better.  Given our recent history in the speed of lining up a replacement, we could be down to 10 games to save the season.

With that said, there does need to be a grown up conversation which centres on whether RVN will be our manager in the Championship.  If he doesn't fancy it, then get rid now.  If we think RVN isn't the man for that task, then get rid now.  The most pointless thing would be to keep him here until the end of the season, get relegated and then sack him.  That would be stupid.

I put no because there isn't a manager on Earth who could keep this shower of shit up.

May as well wait until the end of the season and he will walk anyway. Hopefully there is at least a dozen players who follow him out the door too and we can have a reset.

Is it wrong to hate this team?

Sadly Ruud is lost

mind poisoned and he has turned on the players

young Barry-murphy till end of the season is a gamble worth taking we are going down anyway so why not roll the dice

at least he will go back to Enzo ball and try get the team looking united

can’t blame Rudkin for RVN , that was all on TOP

although Rudkin is to blame for the state of this squad

Horrible feeling it will be Gerrard ….we are lazy, he is available, managed in the prem and is a “name” ……

I’d be amazed if he gave it more than 5 secs before saying no if offered….fwiw I think he would be a horrendous appt. We’re going down, we will spend a number of years outside the PL imo which hopefully will lead to KP selling up, only then can I see us rebuilding.

Yes that’s what I feel is pretty likely I would love us to go for Rafa personally. Just someone experienced at this level and the championship too.

I voted keep. Not because I think he's a good manager. I think he's out of his depth, but sacking him is irrelevant with the board and those making decisions. We need real change, not just management.

I would say keep but the problem is deep rooted with Glover, Rudkin, Whelan and Top. He gets no public or vocal support and has been fitted into our shambles of a set up. Any decision making appears to be like steering the Queen Mary through the Channel. With maybe the worst communication with the fans that I have seen.

Although look at Kompany, won the Championship at a canter, got relegated sticking to his footballing philosophy and blagged a top job. So he will be ok if he gets the sack!

I do fear for us this time for an immediate bounce back as we will do well to stumble on another Enzo and could end up with Brussel or Dyche.

2 questions to be asked really, if the club believe we can still stay up having made 0 investment in the squad, is he the man for the job?

Or if we're looking for a manager to rebuild us in the Championship to take us back up on a more stable footing financially is he the man for the job?

I think answer to both questions is no. Tactically looks completely out of his depth, got no coaching staff as he falls out with everyone, created a horrid culture at Seagrave, not utilising any of our young players sticking to Coopers dads army.

To me if you can convince Dyche to come then you do it, he has proven he can get a team to scrap and fight for points, kept Evertpn up with a points deduction and an equally crackpot boardroom. Also established himself at Burnley in getting them to bounce straight back and then establish themselves in the Prem for a good half a decade, even getting to Europe.

It really is a strange situation, just cannot figure out what the board thought would happen this season.

  1. Unproven manager
  2. Tight finances
  3. Weaker squad

Are we just resigned to relegation?

Stinks of hubris that they thought a big name would reinvigorate this club rather than a more savvy manager.

I am sure we tried to go for Moyes / Potter but they were rightly not interested.

We need an experienced manager at this level to stand any chance of staying up, and Ruud was a massive gamble which is not paying off.

It'd only be utterly wasted when any other selection would be made by the f***wits upstairs at this club. How long until we have to pay the next ill fitting manager for the club? We cannot keep hemorrhaging money in this way.

Just endure the rest of the painful season and then we must reset, properly. Players, coaching, recruitment, even the academy level. Nobody should feel safe at this stage. Appoint a competent DoF with an clear idea on this as a minimum. Only then can we think about any further managerial changes having any positive impact on the medium/long term future of the club and signing players to be a part of that.

I honestly don't care much about the next 6-18 months. Build the foundations to prepare us for success beyond that, just as we did in the not so distant past.

Maybe him falling out with people is a good thing. Remember Pearson fell out with people. The club needs some authority, some structure, some direction. It sint something that's going to fix overnight, I'm not sure we can bring in anyone who can keep a defence contains wout faes up.

We need to clear out the cotton eggs, a culture of respect for the manager needs to be developed, not this chums with top bullshit, we are here to plat and win football matches.

He should go, it's pointless him being here. This race has already run. But I also don't think it really fixes anything either. So I really don't know.

There's a deep, deep rot at this club and it really does go beyond the manager.

I'd have more time for him if he started really screwing some of their careers over. Training with the kids. Like what Amorim's done with Rashford but the problem is who the hell even comes in for them?

It's broken. I think you're on a hiding to nothing in that job.
