Not read all this but I remember being in the play off area when we went up to Newcastle and we’re pumped 7! A young Andy Cole rampant. We had centre halves that couldn’t run that day too!

Bolton 0-5 and Southampton 0-4 same season, both at Filbert St take some beating.

Huge difference now is that back in those days, the players tried and were just crap, now they don’t even bother.

Yes those two really stand out. Mind you for those of us who have been going a long time the list is pretty endless.  The 1-0 defeat to non-league Harlow town was pretty bad. The defeat to Newport in the FA Cup under Puel another stand out moment.

Hard to think of  a good performance under Mclintock.

But yesterday ranks among the worst considering the supposed standard of the players and the amount they get paid to be sh1t each week.

i was there if it was a cup game? seem to remember it was 7

I think you might be right.  Were we 6 down at half time.  I think Bobby Davidson scored for us.

Here's the game i mentioned earlier

The last League Cup game at Filbert Street. Think Robbie Keane was basically the second highest scorer at Filbert Street that season because of this hat-trick.

The 3-0 home loss to Derby closer to the end of the season is the only game I’ve left early from.

Fulham away first half 2023. This today reminded me of that, the body language and lack of bollocks on the players then and now had/has me thinking we're down

I forgot about that one tbf, that was horrendous. Never seen an away end give it to the players at HT like that day.

I think yesterday was one of the worst DEFENSIVE performances I’ve ever witnessed. The defending for all 4 goals and especially the 4th were indescribably bad, tragically bad.

I remember it was about to kick off outside the game and a wednesday fan came over and said not your fault lads it was the ref,  diffused the situation immediately as everyone just started laughing

This side has absolutely no backbone whatsoever.

Look at the spine of our team - It's ****ing shocking for Premier League football

We need a radical manager with radical ideas starting with getting rid of 80% + of this lot

Posted

We need someone like Nigel Pearson to come in and weed out all the bad apples like he did after Svens reign. Lot harder to do with this team however due to the hideous contracts they are sat on. This team certainly ranks with 01/02 and I presume the team of 77/78.

6-1 at Portsmouth. Early King Power decision making at its finest

1-0 at Plymouth is up there, them pair of plonkers at centre back same as yesterday

The thing about that Portsmouth game was that we beat them in the League Cup on the Tuesday (my one and only visit to Fratton Park) Then completely capitulated on the Friday!

Yep, very similar situations. Maddening that both on the same ownership watch as though we haven’t l went anything through our success

Was it Simon Grayson who came on second half and joked loss nothing to do with him  1-1 as far as he was concerned?

A real man manager as well as a good coach required that gathers good characters and gets rid of the others.

West Brom away under David Pleat. We went one up and then defended the rest of the game in our six yard box. Conceded on half time and then in injury time second half. That was painful. Harlow in the FA cup. Bolton first game of the season, losing 5 - 0 at home.

For me yesterday was the worst ever....sideshow bob and lurch made nicky mohan and brian carey look world class.

And patson kaka is the new akinbadbuy, Peter taylor would be proud.

You are right. He certainly did that. He'd do it over two or three seasons and set us up for another crack.

But you need a tactics/data savvy manager for the Premier League (and maybe even the Championship today). He wasn't that.

What we need is Pearson and Walsh doing the recruitment and a Raneri doing the tactics and game prep.

We’ve seen some horrendous performances.

Yesterday would be in my top 20.

Amongst some of these classics …..

Cambridge 5-1 Leicester - 1992

Newcastle 7-1 Leicester - 1993

Sheffield Weds 7-1 Leicester - 1993

Notts County 4-1 Leicester - 1994

Arsenal 6-1 Leicester - 2000

Leicester 0-4 Southampton - 2001

Leicester 0-6 Leeds - 2001

Leicester 0-5 Bolton - 2001

Ipswich 6-1 Leicester - 2002

Leicester 0-5 Villa - 2004

Portsmouth 6-1 Leicester

Leicester 1-6 Tottenham

Newport 2-1 Leicester

Bournemouth 4-1 Leicester

Forest 4-1 Leicester

You’re right and I put aside recency bias. After the Wolves home loss there was no excuse for this, and basically it’s the same team.

Ruuds after match comments were equally concerning. Seems that the players and club have accepted defeat and relegation. No shame, Ship them out and play the kids.

Pretty much most the games under Sousa... the 8 games he was in charge the team looked so disorganised and disjointed. Same players that reached the play offs the season before, looked like a different team in just short space of time. As most of the players pointed at the out time, Sousa tried to change things too quickly and his style just didn't suit squad we had. No coincide soon as left the results and performances picked up.
