Maybe it's just because he regularly used to cause us problems at both ends of the pitch. But I'm happy with this.

 

He's a big old school CB. And the second he walks in, he's going to be out only defender who actually wants to defend. All the others seem to want the ball at their feet, like defending is an inconvenience for them.

 

Dawson is big strong and loud. He gives us the option to sit deep and soak up pressure, which we don't really have. He is the closest we can get to a Huth figure.

 

I think he's going to be good for us. (Watch him not sign now)
