Lets have it right Wednesday have had it a lot worse than us....so far

Of course they have, I don’t think anyone’s saying they haven’t have they? I think a lot of people are empathising with Wednesday and aligning themselves with them because we can totally see what’s ahead of us. We all should be really worried but weirdly, there’s a lot of supporters who aren’t.

Yes…by virtue of the fact they are at the end of their curve to new ownership. We are still on the way up to the peak as to how bad it will get.

Remember though, when Wednesday did it, they are backing their club whereas god forbid Leicester fans suggest any of the actions listed in that post, entitled lot . Oh and something something about UFS!

I am envious of Sheffield Wednesday. As he says, they have brightness ahead now and to look forward to whilst we are plunging further into the dark. If they are completing their takeover imminently and actually build a team over the summer, regardless of a 15 point deduction (if that is the case) I fancy them to make that up on us and finish ahead next season.

And their fans are united. Seeing how sections of our fanbase has reacted to our decline has been the saddest and most painful thing, way more so than the relegations themselves. It just shows we could be taken over tomorrow and still be a broken club because of our pathetic fans.

Just remember though their fanbase was split for at least three years over Chansiri. Their Trust was called inactive and then called too militant. Even now some of their fans have a chip on their shoulder about the role they played. We are a little further behind them. But it’s taken a long time for Wednesday to be united again and their fans responded too late given points deductions etc

Get in Boro !!

If priority 1 is getting Spurs down, 1A is keeping Wrexham from going up.

Derby in the playoffs as it stands. I just have to laugh, I'm actually convinced this season is the payback for Top and Brendan doing a deal with the devil to win the FA Cup :crylaugh:

I get that. But at least they are united now. That is never going to happen for us.

Derby qualifying for the play offs says everything about this league

They've arguably got the best manager in the league.

Boro finishing 5th is exactly what they deserve for the amount of times they've bottled chances to secure not only 2nd, but the title as well.

Don't fancy them in the playoffs at all, they're terrible under pressure. Be surprised if Wrexham don't go on to win this.

EFL have overturned their points deduction next season too https://www.swfc.co.uk/news/2026/may/02/sheffield-wednesday-reborn/

As part of this process, the EFL Board exercised its discretion, as provided by the Insolvency Policy, and concluded that it would not be appropriate to impose a 15-point deduction on the Club following its exit from Administration. As such, the Club will begin the upcoming season on 0 points. A position has also been agreed on wage and transfer parameters that is both acceptable and supportive of the Club’s forward progress.

Good for them, today will feel like a 5-game head start for them now after fully expecting to start on -15.
As for us... :nigel:
