I love that. Sod off Millwall.

Ah c'mon, where's you sense of fun ?

Millwall in The Prem will be hilarious, just for 1 season.

I'm not a fan at all, but the FA will be dreading it, as will the Met Police.

1 season, then they can disappear again.

wrexham....piggin rubbish.

Think it’s quite obvious they’ve thrown it towards the end of the season. Too soon for them to go up.

Why do people always say the Met Police would dread Millwall in the Prem? They might get a few more fans in but it'd probably be more casual match-goers there'd be 4 fewer home games. I don't think the police would be any more bothered tbh!

It's probably to do with the potential trouble they may have to deal with.

Yeah and the fact they would be getting tonked each week and the inbreds would be seething

Well obviously – but my point as stated above is... why would there be any more with a promotion to Premier League? Why does that suddenly light the blue touch paper for more trouble and worry for the police? There'd be fewer games? A few thousand extra more fairweather fans? I just don't think the police would be particularly flapping at the thought of them going up.

that potential trouble doesn't become bigger in the PL than it is in this division though? in reality there'd be two games where it would likely kick off, both against West Ham. But again, that would be the case if west ham go down and Millwall don't go up, and I'm not seeing any posts about the met police bricking it if west ham get relegated

Because they haven’t played a lot of the top teams in a long time. They would effectively be treated like cup finals.

Plus the big London games.
They would be even more pissed and coked up than normal.

They had the most arrests outside the top flight and 11th highest in total in 24/25 and when you consider the capacity compared to the other 11 it puts it in perspective.

I'd imagine Chelsea could be a time bomb too.

I guess there's plenty of Millwall 'fans' of a certain vintage with a few scores to settle, a last hurrah.

Hopefully I'm totally wrong & nothing happens when they play Arsenal, Spurs, Palace etc.

I know Wrexham aren't popular with some on here but surely you'd prefer they make the playoff's than Derby

I dont mind Wrexham byt  just get tired of the Hollywood bj they receive. We all know who owns them ffs. Ladshave done well this year. Might be tough next year in the championship

Kicked off big style when Everton went down there in the cup a few years ago

lots of teams would come out the woodwork to try it on down there

Bigger clubs. The West Ham situation is obvious but then you have Chelsea and Palace locally. They have had issues with Leeds and Everton in the past.

It would probably pass off well enough, I think Southampton will be promoted anyway, but the risk of trouble is certainly greater.

Definately, people still thinking millwall are a bunch of bushwackers from the 70's.

No doubt the prices would go up pricing some of the more raucous fans out.

The only possible 'tasty' game would be west ham.

Maybe their idiots won't bother with going to games especially if it's too expensive, but that wouldn't stop them causing trouble.

I know they've tried to address their reputation as a club, but they still have plenty of knuckle-daggers.

Hopefully nothing happens, if they go up ( not that l think they will).

I suppose compared to most premiership clubs fanbases millwall fans would seem scary.

Ipswich up , soton in the play offs and us relegated. What a fukkin total shambles.

Especially when we brushed both aside at home in the Prem 12 months ago.

You underestimate how many faces from the past would return for a season in the PL.

They'd have trouble in most games if they went up, I hope it happens lol Wish they'd bloody beat us now.

”Oh, what a night”

Plus lost £300 million in the last 5 years.

We had the arrogance to avoid PSR  punishment on a technicality, but failed to comply the following season by the transfer fee we paid for Skipp, incredible incompetence.

Be interested to hear from Ipswuch fans on how they felt this season went/hoe enjoyable it was. From the outside looking in i'm amazed they have finished 2nd, felt like they properly struggled and still gone up.

I know at this level you can be fairly ordinary win less than half your games and have a chance of going up but of all of our promotions from the Championship i've never felt it was particularly hard work bar the O'Neill playoff one.

This Ipswich promotion feels similar to QPR under Redknapp, not that they'll care. They're up, we're in League One and Kasey McAteer is back in the Prem 😂

Two years ago they had to go for it. Ourselves, Leeds and Southampton were all pushing 90 points. This year, we were never involved and Southampton took three months to start so they had leeway. Millwall, Middlesbrough, Hull, even Stoke early on weren't in the same class as the three before.

Not a thrilling achievement but it didn't have to be.
