Or they are clearing the decks in readiness for a new man coming in and bringing in some new coaching staff. Maybe Ruud has been sacked or walked but separate announcement later?

Seems unlikely otherwise you would expect the Dutch GK coach to also depart.

I said a while back that I think Ruud was possibly brought here due to this successful stint as a youth team coach/manager, and that may be the route the club may look to take with regards to using the academy next season.

From a financial aspect and a possible club reset, maybe that’s what it could be 🤷‍♂️

Yet he appears to have even less interest in our academy than Cooper did.

Ruud’s post match on Friday night was that of a man who didn’t know how to get us out of this rut.

Moving on two (possibly poor) coaches doesn’t fix that issue.

The fact that they've sacked the two Cooper coaching appointments but no others tells us everything we need to know. They're creating the space for Ruud to bring in his own people.

Ruud was here then and picked him. Dawson will be remembered as the one whose experiment at inventing a new tactical master class for his 1 game at Brentford, as interim manager, went tits up.

Seemed arrogant beyond belief to me at the time.

ward, five at the back with choudary - how cocky and stupid can you get. Dawson going is a good thing no doubt

Within the same topic...I thought Lars Knudsen did pretty well the time he was at  Leicester, we did improve our free kicks and corners, just a shame the opposition scored more goals then us because of our sh*t defenders.

Didn't Leicester think it was a real coup to get Lars and pity that Maresca got rid of him to get his own in.

Bizarre that Ben Dawson was still with us at all.

It would suggest that we are keeping RVN on, you wouldnt announce the removal of 2 coaches, you would just remove the manager and say they are also leaving with him. I can't really work out the plan at all (nothing new there)

We didn't back him or support him at all and now when it's too late we are making some moves? I wondered if Top promised him a rebuild in the summer, but that feels a long way off, surely you can't keep RVN in place for a rebuild the way we are going, we might not pick up another point all season, hardly a good platform to build from.

I shouldn't be surprised to be honest, just add it to a long ever growing list of weird and bizarre things we do.

Disagree with this. Maybe the ONLY positive thing coaching wise about this season is that defensively on set pieces, we have been pretty good. If we were as bad as we were in 2022 this time round, we might be chasing Sheffield United's most amount of goals conceded in the league record. We kept Arsenal at bay recently through clever coaching, IE using our short players to block Gabriel's runs, so that our physical players could respond to him if the ball made it that far.

Offensively, our set pieces have not been great, but we don't really have any players that are good at taking them. El Khannouss you'd think would be, but the results show otherwise. And we actually have scored some set pieces, Vestergaard agaisnt Fulham, Ayew with the last minute winner against Southampton.

Stever Cooper was a bad appointment, but hiring this guy and restoring Soumare to the first team were IMO good decisions in the context of the trainwreck that is this campaign.

I think the club gave up on premiership survival a long while ago and probably even expected relegation this season.

his remit may of been to give it a good go this season and then play a lot of the youth next season.

If they sack them and bring in Ruuds staff that is bizarre. Why wouldn’t you do it when he signed? Unless this is what the cannon money is for. 🤣

To back him now and not before would some this lot up tbf

Dawson should have been out after the Brentford shambles the first time round. All seems a bit late in the day to be offering Ruud his own coaching staff now.

King Power are inept that is crystal clear to see when Ruud joined should have sacked these incompetent fools and allowed Ruud to bring in his own staff,  Ruud has hardly covered himself in glory so backing him now seems strange but it's the Leicester way!

I can see it now we bring in staff for Ruud and sack him in 3 or 4 games.

We are a total mess, another two people being paid off.

Drain the swamp that includes the Dutch Peter Taylor.

Wouldn't expect any new additions - I suspect King was lined up to replace Dawson & didn't Ruud already bring a GK coach anyway? Surpised Alcock lasted this long.

So the coaches are now this lot?

Jelle ten Rouwelaar - GK

Andrew Hughes

Andy King

Barry-Murphy

That's Ruud staying then, he's only survived because we can't afford to sack him, and he knows this imo.

Could be cost cutting by Top

It's been exactly 3 months since Cooper was sacked, I guess the other way of looking at this is they've worked their notice period?

If this is all it is then ffs what have they been doing for 3 months, where else have you ever seen a managers assistants stay on for 3 months after they depart
