It’s best to be thought of as dumb and remain quiet, than to speak out and remove any doubt.

Maybe you should follow your own advice

Dumb is when anyone expected him to say anything different than he did.  Piling in on anything and everything to do with the club at the moment seems to be a cultish to be honest.

I will have to disagree. Cultish is the opposite of what we as a group offer, like all kinds of solutions (some good, some bad) to club’s obvious problems. Opposing this forum’s democratic sprit are decisions made by the LCFC politburo; they are final; Chairman is all-knowing, untouchable and unapproachable.

As far as reactions to JJs soundbite - we mostly laugh. I think that’s an opposite of what a cult would do.

I don't think it's "cultish" to take exception to a player telling us about how good the team are when we've watched them produce absolute dross all season. I would argue it's more "cultish" to defend them despite the level of performance you've witnessed them produce with your own eyes.

No one at this club, from the players to the owners have done ANYTHING to deserve such backing and the more support they get for their incompetence, the longer it goes on. "Going in" on them is more beneficial for our club in the long run than meekly cheering on as they run us into the ground as maybe the more criticism they get, the MIGHT just hold someone accountable.

To be honest I found his comments quite funny, just another crock of shite said with zero meaning, I would imagine the camaraderie is good though, a group of players, on big wages, and having to do next to nothing to earn it, God forbid that  camaraderie be used to get a couple of positive results

This makes me feel like I could shag Margot Robbie, Jessica Alba and Gal Gadot in a 4-way no problem.

Feeling pumped.

Problem is - i will be there.

Always a snag.

How about accepting we are a poor side with little or no quality and the league position proves that

And he would get slaughtered if he said that.

To be honest, who cares, what any of them say, its just hot air, with Zero meaning or effect.

come on, what professional footballer is ever going to say that in an interview? And what would be the  benefit of doing so?

Interviews with footballers invariably are like this. It’s weird that people are getting so wound up about this one when it’s no different from the rest.

What is he supposed to say?

Some acknowledgement that the efforts so far haven't been good enough and that it's imperative they massively improve for the rest of the season.

The slack these multi millionaires get is unbelievable.

Yeah, I don't know why he couldn't admit we haven't been good enough as a squad and we need to improve massively. No need to single anyone out or break ranks.

The problem they have is that the stats, as well as the results, are damning. No claiming bad luck or misfortune.

People are wound up because this team is the biggest bunch of shit house underachievers we've ever seen and trotting out this shit to people who watch their bafflingly shit performances every week is just another kick in the balls.

More gutless comments from gutless players isn't going to go down well is it.

They've learnt **** all as a club or players from last time.

It's maddisonesque

why the **** are they even posting something like that ffs I get it, what’s he meant to say but come on, read the room

It's a club with its head firmly up it's own arse..... Again

Nothing learnt from last time and trotting this shit out shows what they really think of the customers.

Anything trotted out like this is tone deaf. All he had to say was that things haven't been good enough this season, but they're not giving up and will work harder and harder each week to try and stay up.

Doesn't throw anyone under the bus, acknowledges the situation, but shows some determination and fight. Up to the squad each match day to then showcase that.
