Get a big man/little man strike force, get outside wingers not inverted, 2 hard bastard central midfielders and an absolutely no nonsense back 4.

Anyone else watch boro v leeds last night and worry how we would cope against teams with that level of fight, speed and tempo. We haven't shown that for SO long. Really worried  for next year....

All we can hope for is players with a fresh start and fresh manager will step up, they're likely putting in nowhere near full level performances, they've given up this season

Branthwaite at Everton maybe? But yes, it's the biggest issue for me too.

I don't think Burnley fans had many issues with his style of football when they were getting promoted, scored plenty enough, and realistically, it's someone like Dyche who gives us best chance to stay in the PL for more than one season.

Branthwaite had played a few games Premier League games at Everton before Dyche had turned up.

It won’t be a popular call with many in here, but I think anyone other than Dyche is an unnecessary gamble. The club desperately needs old-fashioned man-management and someone to call a spade a spade. Added to that, he has experienced getting teams promoted in one of the most arduous leagues in world football. Couldn’t care less about his ‘voice’ that some of our impeccably spoken contributors seem hung up on. Or even how dull the footy is, (it can’t be worse than Enzo’s).  He just needs to stabilise a total shit-show of a club and restore some professional pride. It’s a massive, massive challenge and I’ll be genuinely anxious if they gamble with someone who needs to learn about this league on the job.

Fabregas ?

Don’t think he would drop down to a championship level club, if he does well at Como could see him managing a team in a higher level in Germany / Spain and then eventually a premier league club, but doubt he would join us.

I personally would go with Carlos Cuesta at Arsenal he’s very highly rated In the game as a coach.

When we are as pathetic as we are now I kind of get this clamour for Dyche, but I don’t buy that he is a Pearson-esque culture builder. That is doing Pearson a massive disservice.

He clearly has no-nonsense values, and we need some of that, but I don’t think we need to go to the extreme of Dyche. His style of play is horrific and I just know everyone will hate it in reality. He also has a permanent chip on his shoulder and I’m not sure we need that kind of attitude next season.

He is pals with Rudkin and it scares me the damage they will do in regards to recruitment.

There are so many better options out there.

Pretty funny but the only player you've mentioned actually got his first break under Ruud at PSV and did fairly well there I believe.

The pressure on this managerial appointment is absolutely insane for the ownership.

They need to appoint someone like Maresca who will get us back up and help paper over their mess, give them promotion, a celebration to hijack and provide more fuel for the KPFC lot to keep going in their staunch defence.

Mess it up with a divisive, un-inspirational figure who has us in 12th place come the start of December and the zombies/KPFC lot might, just might start waking up.

Considering what Manning has been through this year he's done incredibly well.

They still have a lot of fragility, don't score a lot of goals and concede late pretty often, they tire out quickly too.

He's former City group so from good stock, but I think he needs to stick it out for a while at Bristol City.

I don't think it's any coincidence that improvement/success has once again quickly followed behind a Nigel Pearson rebuild!

Have you taken this from the Jon Rudkin diary definition of doing incredibly well lol

I think it’s highly possible that the club will go the safe route this time, especially when this season’s top three consist of Farke, Wilder and Parker.

The problem is though, every single free option with experience of managing in England are just so uninspiring.

Russell Martin - Possession obsessive

Sean Dyche - Dull football and loves experienced squads

Gary O’Neil - PPG% is shocking

Rob Edwards - Fvcked his reputation this season

David Wagner - Shouldn’t be considered

Steven Gerrard - Did well in the SPL, but flopped elsewhere

It’s such a crap list.

But if Rohl ends up at Southampton, I’m really struggling to find a decent alternative. The likes of Carrick, Manning, Cleverley, Mousinho all come with positives and negatives. Rosenior’s style of play has it’s question marks, and why would he leave Strasbourg. Another assistant like Maresca, I’ll use Davide Ancelotti as an example would be another massive gamble. While the up-and-coming managers across Europe might not be totally ready yet, look how average Johannes Hoff Thorup has done at Norwich for example.

I think the experience with Cooper probably kills the whole model of a long ball merchant signing thirty somethings stone dead tbh.

Mandatory short back and sides for every player.

Report to Seagrave at 0600 hours for training. Shirts off, down to business.

Fair play - that's a shit situation to have to go through.

Looking at the support he got from the club and the fans though, there's no way he walks away next season.
