This managerial error looks like it would cost the club another £6m. I just have this pit of my stomach feeling that it will be Dyche because he’s free and a safe pair of hands. Dyche will look at us as a long term project, Rohl will see us as a stepping stone. I still would rather go for the gamble, Rohl is going straight to the top and Dyche imo doesn’t have the ceiling that DR does, but let’s face it, either of them are miles clear of where the club is right now. From a Sheff Weds story, Rohls staff are out of contract and there might not be compo required. The finer details of Röhl's exit are not yet known and it is unclear at this stage whether the departure will be set up as one of mutual consent, sacking or resignation. How the matter is dealt with could ultimately impact how and whether the club are entitled to compensation in the event of Röhl taking another job. If Röhl doesn’t return, and with a number of coaches out of contract come July 1st it could well be left to the club's academy staff to take the first sessions after this week’s testing has been completed. I'd also rather have a manager use us as a stepping stone because he's done a good job, as its means we are doing alright. If then just picking the right manager again afterwards. 1

Popular Post Leicesterpool Posted 27 June 2025 Popular Post Posted 27 June 2025 Wilder would suck the life out the club with his bland football. It's worse than Dyche. 5
EnderbyFox Posted 27 June 2025 Posted 27 June 2025 Can someone do their best to sell Danny Rohl to me please? I'm struggling to get excited about him tbh @StriderHiryu any tactical analysis would be lovely
MonarchFox Posted 27 June 2025 Posted 27 June 2025 I think it's got to be Rohl now. His compo goes into this years accounts, as does Ruud's payoff and we take the hit in one go

With better players here he can do better too, Rohl has a very high managerial ceiling, I wouldn't be surprised if he's managing in the premier league in the not too distant future, hopefully with us. It's hardly a miracle. Every year there are clubs that finish mid-table in that league that wouldn't look out of place in League 1.

Includes that some players were reluctant to do strength and conditioning work - highlights some of the Enzo's legacy with the focus on controlling possession rather than transition play and physicality which are now features of the PL. is worth a read. Didn’t hold back on board (good) and I think it does paint a picture of a really fractured dressing room where player power was taking us down a bad path too with resistance to some of the training, not just physically having to be local to the club 1 hour ago, moore_94 said: Looks like it probably wont be Dyche then https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2025/06/27/ruud-van-nistelrooy-leaves-leicester-city/ Sheffield Wednesday’s Danny Röhl will emerge as a possible target, despite fears over the amount of compensation required if he remains at the rival Championship club. Sources have dismissed the prospect of former Everton and Burnley manager Sean Dyche taking charge. Link in case people don’t have telegraph access. https://archive.ph/pzSuo 2 1

Guest Bilo Posted 27 June 2025 Posted 27 June 2025 It's obviously going to be Röhl which, dare I say it, would be the right decision. Young, progressive, used to working under less than optimal conditions, knows the level, seemingly wants the job. Important that he plays the youth players and spends well, but his appointment is as good an appointment as we can realistically make. I'm content with him being here.
Harrogatefox Posted 27 June 2025 Posted 27 June 2025 Dyche For me. It’s no harm going back to basics with our current crop of players. There’s no stand out elite talent so Dyche could get the best out of them as a unit. Build from the back. He did well at Burnley so could do the same for us. 1 1

foxfanazer Posted 27 June 2025 Posted 27 June 2025 For me Rohl at least indicates they haven't completely given up 1

FoxinNotts Posted 27 June 2025 Posted 27 June 2025 Thing about Rohl is, why oh why do we have to go for a target in the most 'complicated situation' to get them out of their current contract! Typical KPFC
LVFox Posted 27 June 2025 Posted 27 June 2025 Attraction to Danny Rohl is he seems to have a nice “balance”. Not overly wedded to an identity but does like high pressing attacking wing play, however, he’s shown at Sheffield Wednesday he can also effectively set his side up as a counter attacking unit. Would be good for both promotion push in Championship and fighting relegation in Prem. A few questions yes, but for me the leading candidate by quite a distance 1
MPH Posted 27 June 2025 Posted 27 June 2025 Only problem about it being Rohan is that if he gets us promoted then his reputation will go stratospheric and big clubs will be able to afford the buy out and we will be back to square one. still, we will have a better chance of staying in the prem if we are actually in it… 1
