Gosh even Dyche thinks we're a tough nut to crack 😳
Brainy Posted 7 July 2025 Posted 7 July 2025 (edited) Dyche is this eras Allardyce, he's probably waiting for the call from Leeds/Burnley/Sunderland ....at Christmas Edited 7 July 2025 by Brainy
lcfc_forever Posted 7 July 2025 Posted 7 July 2025 (edited) Is this correct? Personally, not happy with the rumour but if true, may explain why he is a front runner. We all want a manager that will focus on bringing through the youngsters. Edited 7 July 2025 by lcfc_forever 1

His tactics are rubbish and it's another clear indicator that the club has no leadership quality or direction. He's poor. He's not the right appointment and won't be able to get the dressing room sorted. He doesn't play the football these players have been brought in to do. It'll be a shocking appointment. The players became v frustrated with results (poor personal discipline during and after games) but I didn’t see a lack of effort. true that he had a massive issue defending set plays but he felt that was due to losing his two best aerial CB’s. They also sacked their set piece coach. I don’t believe he’s a footballing ‘dinosaur’. he has tended to play quite narrowly as he likes players that cut inside off their wings (as we have done). With our squad in the championship he will no doubt allow the full backs to get forwards into the space vacated rather than sitting back. whilst I’d prefer rohl, I would rather O’Neil than wilder. 1
HarryDee8 Posted 7 July 2025 Posted 7 July 2025 Gary O'Neil?? - isnt that the same guy that wolves had to sack as he was going to take them down at our expense 🤣🤣
Ian Nacho Posted 7 July 2025 Posted 7 July 2025 We may as well be getting the likes of Paul Heckingbottom or Gary Rowett. Such an uninspiring appointment.

Benji Posted 7 July 2025 Posted 7 July 2025 (edited) Yeh I think I'm done if this is where we're going. We'll always have Vichai's legacy, for which I'll be forever grateful, but this current mob are showing a level of business and commercial incompetence not seen since our administration days, and complete contempt for the fans with zero communication other than bullsh1t social media posts about how great morale is in the camp. The FFP/PSR loopholes have been nothing to celebrate, the idiots merely swept their financial mismanagement under the rug with a smart lawyer, but now it's all coming back out the other side. I'm done with being squeezed on extortionate matchday tickets for what is likely to now be more sh1te football with zero plan (Cooper MKII). The fact our pre season has started and we're still not clear what type of a manager we want, let alone who, is shocking in itself, and I can't believe there's not more publicity on how bad things have become particularly when you see that list of candidates. urban.spaceman Posted 7 July 2025 Posted 7 July 2025 Gerrimin. In the eight games immediately following O'Neil's permanent appointment the club failed to pick up a single competitive win. However, in April 2023, O'Neil's side secured their place in the top flight by winning five matches out of seven, including victories over relegation contenders Leicester City, Southampton and Leeds United.[45]
Popular Post cityfanlee23 Posted 7 July 2025 Popular Post Posted 7 July 2025 I said just before O’Neil was sacked that I thought wolves were unlucky in terms of league position vs performances, they played well in a fair few games but just couldn’t get it over the line and were making poor errors or tactical naivety, so I felt a bit for him, even at Bournemouth I thought he was sacked quite harshly given the tools he had, yet both wolves and Bournemouth found another 5 gears when he went. Don’t want him. Leicester have me on the brink of just not bothering with football. My love for football has been lost in the era of big finance and stupid wages, if O’Neil comes when we have an opportunity to rebuild something exciting I think that could be the straw. Who knows maybe he’s learned from his mistakes, I just can’t see it. 7
LeePhilpottsBaldSpot Posted 7 July 2025 Posted 7 July 2025 I think O'Neil could be a good appointment. Brings through young players and has a better Prem record than many who have dominated the Champ.

Will be interesting to see what happens to him now, realistically he's there going into next season. There are no other teams that are looking for a manager, and if he can't/won't resign to walk into a job here, he's not going to walk without a job to go to. Chansiri has ****ed it too. 1
