Can’t see us sacking RVN now. Lost 2 months already. Keep him, save the money and aim for playoffs if we get a points deduction. Get rid after next season when all this crap is done with about PSR

Are we confident we will be better after next season? Parachute payments will be lower, our squad will get weaker, our income will be less as we won't be as competitive which will affect ticket sales. We are heading for being a Norwich, Blackburn for many years.

But according to the club bes thing to do is head to the pub and wait for all this to blow over. Shaun of the Dead style

We need a fresh start. I would take no signings coming in if it meant we got a capable manager.  This squad is good enough to compete, weve lucked out with the youth... just get the manager right please!!!

Why would he do a presentation if he had checked out ?

Pretty sure he said he would like to stay in some interviews

Body language.  Lack of engagement with the fans, more interested in schmaltzing the opposition players, going through the motions without offering much in the way of changes or showing any signs of anger or even stress as we racked up defeat after defeat without scoring.  Big dopey grin.  Appears to accept defeat with a shrug.  Meaningless office-style platitudes and cliches in interviews.   Has form for going missing when the going gets tough.

I just don't think he is particularly committed if he ever was and I am yet to see any evidence that he cares or is hurting.  I have long thought that he is waiting for the sack and a payday.

The club should be in a better position the season after the next one. The PL and EFL won’t stop until we’ve been charge which will be this season. Even if we get 10points deduction if we keep most of the players we’re capable of finishing 6th and could get lucky. We’ll just have to see, it pains me to say it but just keep Ruud and save some money till it blows over, if we can’t get Dyche  it’s pointless anyway because it becomes a massive gamble.

Are there any examples of players that went on to better careers from Watford, Burnley or Everton? I've just thought of Brownhill which he developed during his time at Burnley. I don't think those clubs have the facilities to be blessed with up and coming players, but Dyche has shown he will play and develop players regardless of age i.e McNeil, Branthwaite and Brownhill.

Unless I'm missing the point here, but Brownhill was 25 and had played over 200 league games before he joined Burnley, so not sure he really had much of a hand in developing him.

Any potential manager that wants the job will be totally clued up about every player. If Dyche is being lined up then he'll know exactly what we have and need.

They always say that. It's just about leaving a decent gap so the seat isn't so hot for the next incumbent. It's all about the look.

If I had to guess then I'd say the new manager has been given the nod and it's now all about timing announcements.

I think if this was correct we would have had more concrete rumors. Feels like something would have leaked and there would be a clear favorite on the new manager front.

It has definitely gone very quiet which would suggest that the club is going to wait until 1st July before making a change, which means highly likely that BBM, Kingy and Andy Hughes will take charge of the early pre season unless we announce Ruud’s departure and his replacement on the same day.

Hence my use of the phrase, “I’m not saying that finding such a manager is easy”. But as I said, other clubs of our size and smaller seem to manage it, so I don’t see why it should be beyond us.

They’re all “coaches “ these days, none of them manage like Pearson did, those days very very sadly have gone. DOF is supposed to “manage” I guess, which is our problem and much of football.

Waiting until 1st July would be perfectly fine - considering PSR - IF we had a real DoF who was making moves to strengthen the squad, trying to find suitors for our unwanted players, extending deals, focusing on the scouting network to find unearthed gems that could help to creatve value, lining up potential loan moves for our youngsters in readiness. Instead we have a club that has operationally gone into hibernation. What is the quote? "No decision is, in itself, a decision."

Well Pereira managed to walk in the door at Wolves and sort the culture out immediately. They were a different club after he joined. We shouldn’t be touching Gary O’Neil with a barge pole.

He has rejected us according to @StanSP

I find this very hard to believe unless he has a job lined up already. With everything going on at sheff wed owner I’m sure he would love a chance out.

I’m sceptical that we’ve even approached Rohl yet.

Yes, I’m not championing O’Neil, just saying, sadly “The Manager” went with Nigel.

Probably puts paid to the idea we might promote him if RVN is sacked.

With Jelle ten Rouwelaar targeted by Brighton too, I'm not sure we'll have any coaching staff but RVN and Kingy come pre-season!

It was reported that BBM was holding off from giving a decision to Plymouth as there was another opportunity, this looks to be it, so maybe the internal candidate @Wymsey  alluded to could be Kingy.

Jokes on all of us, the internal candidate is probably the useless **** who already has the job lol

I must have missed where it was alluded that it could be internal.

Fans would be sceptical about kings credentials but would also back him due to his standing in the past. But would need an experienced coach or 2 who have managed before.

Wouldnt be my choice but could see why they might do this.

Dyche and someone internal; but, as widely-speculated, the club are in a tricky situation - as paying off Ruud may have financial consequences, when the club is already struggling on that front as it is.

There appears to be no certainty by the higher-ups as to who's the best option.

Rob Edwards has previously had admirers in the board room. There’s a fair chance it will end up being someone like him because, the club’s standing aside, it’s going to come down to who is actually willing to take the job on.

Chris Wilder apparently been sacked another club wanting a new manager 😂

Wilder wouldn’t be a bad shout. Has extensive experience but the advantage he has over Dyche in my opinion is he has a decent track record of promoting young players especially in his 2nd stint at Sheffield United.
