There’s always the chance dyche will just wait until the first prem team sacks their managers in a panic.

he’s a pretty obvious choice if you’re scrapping to survive.

Then he could face a relegation, if he comes here’s he pretty much got a clean slate

Can’t believe the negativity towards Dyche on here. Would be my absolute number one choice, I’d be very pleased with him at the helm.

If the players at Sheffield Wednesday are rumoured to be allowed to leave their contracts if they don’t get paid this month, surely it’s the same for the coaching staff?

Dyche is co hosting Talk Sport 1-5 show from Monday so doubt he would do that if he been giving the managers job.

Dyche and Coady together on the radio then

Look at the transformation around Burnley’s finances whilst he was manager…we need someone who can take control of a football club, not some u21’s hipster football manager type appointment.

I’m less bothered about style of play right now and more concerned about getting a real football club back.

What works in the Prem is pretty irrelevant right now because you plan for the level you're at. If you can dominate in the Champ you absolutely should. And it’s not about entertaining fans every second what matters more is that the players buy into it. Tanner’s said loads of times they enjoyed it and saw it as attractive football to play

I understand and yes, you do have to plan for the level your at but in the last two seasons we've had players that used effectively, had the talent to get the results without sticking to a now getting found out tiring system. Pep has the ability to adapt and change whereas I seem to think that Maresca and Kompany are starting to look like copycat limited one trick ponies. It's just that they have the money and squads to scrape out points but once they've been found out, they'll have shot their bolt.

I respect everyone has different views on how they want the game to be played but it really confuses me how so many people found Enzo’s football boring.

I just don’t understand how you don’t enjoy watching your side be the superior team in pretty much every game.

Because a lot of the time they weren't and if the opposition had had half competent Premiership standard strikers we'd have taken several drubbing! However, we did have a good strike force who could take chances and did. It was very noticeable in our blip that it was the lower not so good teams that caused us problems and lost us points because they just sat back and let us have the ball and against such opposition we were largely dull and useless.

well the way he plays, the fact he doesnt really give youth from within the club a chance, buys older players etc

will probably want a high wage too, probably highest in the league

look at how much better Everton are under Moyes compared to Dyche, same players and its a night and day difference

Game of opinions. Who would you prefer out of interest?

transformation huh, making it sound like he brought the club back from the depth, for which HE didnt, in recent times the club has had a cash injection from the americans

also change the club......like really, thats a laugh saying that as frankly he couldnt change anything here, and he didnt at Everton either

Appointing Dyche is basically like us appointing cooper over again, after Enzo, Rodgers, Puel,

but then again seems to be people of a certain age who want dyche and dont see the whole picture just the man

if thats the case, lets appoint Roy Hodgson instead

Rohl, Wellens, Challinor

someone who can adapt, not dinosaur Dyche

as I said, we'll be getting the OAPs in the team if he comes, he rarely gives youth within clubs a chance

I just dont understand why people would want Dyche given the types of players we have in the squad atm,

we are basically going back to square one all over again

He'll be given until the last game of pre season by me, if i've seen Monga, Evans, Braybrooke, Aluko, Paige, Nelson kick the ball sparingly during that time i'll have ZERO interest in what goes on after that.

Ruud is a ****ing turnip but even he sees that's the way to go this season.

No idea how true that is, but I did hear that a current player has been offered a new contract so I doubt it is.

The issue is whether they actually get paid though. The cash flow is the problem and I think they banked on the rohl cash that hasn’t come in. It’s a game of chicken with their owner right now

id imagine they will offer everyone a contract because they are on an embargo now.

Had the shittest of nights, anxiety issues through the roof, now I come home to this potential news :(

If appointed, who knows what he’ll do with our youth, it’s difficult to say.

But from a style of play perspective and the likeliness of numerous experienced signings, Dyche would be depressing.

Maybe my display pic choice is a jinx after all

Hang in there buddy, foxes never quit 👊

I know they are a bunch of whiny, entitled babies, but I can’t see Dyche going down well with the players, given how they handled the transition from possession football to something less possession oriented last season. This needs to be considered too, even though preferably we will be shipping a lot of them out.

When was the last time Tanner had a scoop for us?

He doesn’t get scoops because he’s a cautious journalist & the Athletic is more about analysis than breaking stories anyway. However when he does say something about the the way the club is thinking/moving in, he doesn’t often get it wrong.
