Only do our fanbase let shit managers off with "he wasn't backed" or "set up to fail".

Van Nistelrooy took over our team and made it worse. We went 9 games without even scoring ffs, that's a sackable offence in itself. At any other top flight club there would have probably been protests about the manager.

I don't feel sorry for him. He sat an interview before taking the job. He wasn't "thrown in at the deep end" or whatever people also say.

Regardless of how well he did, no one can credibly tell me he was backed. He was only able to sign a full back for £3m and one coach - so he had the same group of coaches that Cooper brought in. It was always going to be a recipe for not doing very well.

Plus we gained an unexpected £2.5m by beating Ipswich and finishing a dazzling 18th instead of a lowly 19th.

Good news. It's Danny Rohl. Just got to agree how to get him away from his current mad employer. All agree with him apparently.

Don't you have to get permission to talk to a Manager before entering agreements?

I SO hope you're right. As well as bringing in a Manager who most FT'ers want, it would also likely mean the return of Chris Powell. I used to think he was the bees knees when with us last.

Would just be nice to have someone come in that the majority are happy with.

We need some positivity around here. As I’ve said before, I think dyche would do very well but we’d have a whole summer of fans Debbie downing.

I think after the last season we just need some optimism so this would be a good step for us. And if it ends in tears… well we got what we asked for at least

I think there was a majority happy with RVN at the time...

Positivity will last about 5 games if he starts poorly.

I think Rohl, like RVN was, is favoured because there is still a lot unknown about him and as fans, we fill in those unknowns with a lot of hope.

I'd prefer someone who has a history of getting promoted, as I think if we dwell in the Championship for more than 1 or 2 seasons, then we may be stuck down here for a years.

I will support him though and hope he has the impact Maresca did, as his unknowns were filled with genuine success.

He'll be given until the last game of pre season by me, if i've seen Monga, Evans, Braybrooke, Aluko, Paige, Nelson kick the ball sparingly during that time i'll have ZERO interest in what goes on after that.

Ruud is a ****ing turnip but even he sees that's the way to go this season.

I just don't see any evidence from what we saw last season for your last sentence to be true.  From what we saw, Ruud giving a ludicrously short few appearances to youngsters after it was too late to have any effect (I.e. after relegation confirmed) gives completely the opposite expectation were he allowed to carry on.

Probably in the same way as you need permission to talk to a player i.e. yes but seemingly there's nothing to stop you, or someone working on your behalf, getting in touch with their agent to gauge what the player's hypothetical response would be to this hypothetical offer

I know someone who knows someone who who is an editor at a well known football publication.

He has said it's been all agree with Rohl personally for sometime. As I said, apparently they are having difficulty getting him away from that mad Sheff Wed owner.

This same 'source' knew weeks in advance about Rashford to Villa was common knowledge.

Take it as you will.

Is it the Sporting Blue???

Dyche would be a step backwards. Honestly I can’t think of anything worse than watching a Leicester side play his brand of football. His last promotion was nearly a decade ago and the game’s moved on, and he hasn’t. If we’re moving on from Ruud it's for someone who backs youth and wants them to play with freedom and flair - thats not him. Remember most of teams we play next season will sit back against us. Easier said that done but find a man with the tactical nous (someone similar to Enzo) who knows how to unlock defenses and dominate games. To me that's the sensible route to go down

Bit difficult to get a side promoted when you're keeping two unfancied sides in the Premier League for the next 10 years.

Exactly the same situation I’ve got with Sydney Sweeney and Margot Robbie.
They’ve agreed to a threesome with me but it’s just a case of when and where.
Here’s hoping I hear back from them……
