Stood there for 90mins feeling completely detached from it. Just eleven blokes jogging around attempting to show effort without exerting any. Certainly didn’t clap them off. Can take loosing, but we don’t even try to compete. Get relegation confirmed and get this sorry season over with. Hierarchy need to take some responsibility, and apologise, but I won’t be holding my breath

I mean I’m struggling, like unless you are some kind of sado massicist how can that even be a nice day out, there’s nothing ‘nice’ about any of it. There’s nothing to enjoy, no smiles just nothing. I’ve never hated the game so much as I do this year. I’m going to see if I reflect over the summer.

Hard to believe Ruud is still in charge

Not with Top, Sue and Teflon John calling the shots.

We can all see it that Ruud is not fit for purpose  and deep down I think they can to, but pride, arrogance, not willing to learn from numerous past mistakes and basically utter incompetence is getting in the way of doing the right thing.  RvN needs canning ASAP. Not to save this season, we are done, but to install some damage control early doors, as I want this bafoon  as far away as possible from any rebuild or Championship campaign.

But until Sue, Teflon, and possibly a few hidden others at board level are given their marching orders, so the same mistakes aren't made 'yet again' we are screwed.

Over to you Top......

RvN is just shrugging his shoulders and picking up his paycheck knowing that this group of players are far short of what is required in their ability and mentality

I have been a fan since 1969 I love my club , but after watching this year I just can’t understand why it has gone so wrong .

but out of todays game , I just don’t see what to hell rudds game plan is , go forward 10 meters then go back 49 meters, the fact we don’t have any class midfielders who can hold and protect the ball and then go forward . And I hate to say this but vardys days are up , he will always be my hero and one of our best players to where our shirt , but he has lose that couple of yards that made him great , he can’t hold up the ball and bring other players into the game . The fact we haven’t scored a goal in such a long time backs up my thoughts on our useless midfield, we need a major clean out and bring in young hungry kids who want to fight for this great club . Rudd has to go not sure who will be a good fit but it needs to be worked on before the end of this season so players can be moved on and other players selected to come in and we start with the new manager and new players rather than waiting to the last moments

Is anyone actually bothered anymore? Genuinely barely checked the scores today. And I’m a season ticket holder of 20+ years.

Overall you can take the conclusion that we struggle to score in any system. It’s not down to a system.”

He's taking us for mugs with shit like this.

Pillock Post Match

Van Nistelrooy on game

RvN: “The form that we’re in and the sequence of games, if you start like this, it makes it extra hard.

"The boys had come in with positives after a good break, after a good couple of weeks of training. Away at Man City you want to have a good start and get through the first 15 minutes.

"But with the ball lost in midfield and with the communication between keeper and centre-back for the second and before the half-hour we’re 2-0 down and it’s going to be a long night.

"They were looking for more goals so we had to really fight to go in with a 2-0 result at half-time. That made it very difficult for us.”

Do you have to accept that you're going to be relegated?

RvN: “We live in reality. We know what the situation is, 12 points with eight games to play. Mathematically it’s not over and we have a responsibility to keep going and there’s no other way than doing that.”

How do you keep going in a position like this?

RvN: “It’s personal pride and honour by doing the job as good as you can, that is my drive. That’s why I get up every morning. That demands character, resilience in dealing with the situation you’re in, looking in the mirror and going back to the players and staff and do better, and get the best out of people around you. That is how I try to do it.”

Just two shots. Will this system eventually work?

I wondered that as soon as I bought the ticket 🤣. Stupidity, or more likely booked the time off ages ago and thought I may as well. Rinse and repeat for Brighton

Also did anyone think he was just purposely winding Mavididi up tonight? Like… yep you’re coming on… oh no wait, I’d rather bring on a centre back! They clearly don’t get on, wouldn’t surprise me!

Glad I chose my mental health with rum and cokes in the DR. I’m going to watch a game live once more this season to say bye to Vardy but they can **** right off with my time outside of that

Honestly it's things like this that make me stop me being bothered now. What can of horse shite is that statement. We were scoring under Cooper, so HIS system hinders our scoring ability and Ofcourse it's down to the system. Otherwise what's the bloody point of mangers.

I hear what you are saying and agree to an extent.

But, even admitting the squad is lacking in quality, they are, IMO still under performing to the actual  "sum of their parts".  I'd like to think that with a better manager,  coaching and match tactics, the results, even with squad would be better than our current position.

Surly if we had not had not had RvN in charge for the last 17 games, and instead actually had a more experienced and slightly more competent manager running the show he would have instilled a better mentality overall. (Personally even I find RvN dour, lacklustre and uninspiring)

Someone who actually played our best players from the first whistle.

Someone who had an idea about in game tactics etc.

I genuinely feel, even with this squad, and with the above,  we would have had a better points tally and league position.  I'm not claiming mid table  but certainly not bottom 3.

At half time I went out to the shed and put my nob in the chain of my bike and asked my wife to peddle as fast as possible. It was preferable.

I'll bet it was hard for her too. 😐

Hand on my heart, I don't think I could do worse. It's just not for him.

Terrible reflection on the state of Dutch football that he won a trophy over there. Steer well clear of there for the next few years.

I’m beginning to think with Jon Rudkin if you threw schitt at him it wouldn’t even stick or make a mark on the slippery schitt , TIME FOR CHANGE @ LCFC sort it out or sell up !

I think we are now picking a team to keep the score down. No fight, no entertainment, no endeavour , effing boring. After sixty years Monday night is the point of no return for me. Probably time to hand over to the next generation. Been one hell of a ride though.

Weren't we at one point in October the only team to have scored in every game with exactly the same squad that we have now? But sure, it must be the players' fault we've only scored in 5 of the 17 games since Ruud came in. I mean if playing Daka, Reid and Ayew out wide instead of Mavididi doesn't work then I don't know what will.
