teblin Posted 7 April Posted 7 April I'm not going tonight, but the back of my mind thinks back to 2020 and 2021 when we couldn't go and it makes me wonder if its the right decision. I live about an hours drive + walking to the ground parking etc.. I might be there if it was closer I guess. Not sure how much difference it will make.

Edingleyfox Posted 7 April Posted 7 April I've always enjoyed watching Newcastle there is usually a bit of banter with the away fans and of course Harvey Barnes may be in their side always interesting to see how ex players react. I've got a few things to do in Leicester today so I'll be there tonight but if it is another game with 8 or 9 defenders essentially no changes and no goals scored I might leave it there for the season. I'll get behind the lads but need to see some effort and ambition. Just looking on the website at tickets there will be a lot of empty seats and totally understand why 1

Young players don’t give a shit about how the teams performing, they will want to get out there and show what they can do. Players like Monga for example, will be fearless and just want to show what he is capable of. Home grown players tend to have a bit more appreciation for the club and will play with more energy, desire and just plain enthusiasm. I would much rather see a young lad give it a go, than watch Ayew amble around the field like he’s some kind of hard done by big shot. 2

The least likely player in the U21's to make it in Arjan Raikhy.

It also sends a message to those dropped in favour of the young lads.

However at this point we basically have nothing left to play for, there is no real pressure, no expectation, just tell them to go out there enjoy themselves and put there heart and soul I to it and the crowd will get behind them whilst giving them experience playing at the highest level.
